Gun Control needs to be instituted

What is happening here in the U.S. has to stop. We are the #1 country in the world for homicides with guns (per 100,000 population) by almost 3 times over the #2 and we are the #1 in the world for mass killings by over 2 times, and even worse, we are the #1 by over 300 times in mass shootings of children.

This has to stop!










To finish it off, it is getting worse (not better) as just in the last 3 weeks, another 38 mass shootings have occurred:

Three weeks and 38 mass shootings. This is America in 2023.

and this is one more thing that will show you how bad it is and the reasons for it happening. It also shows why gun control is needed:

 

Schools need to be secured and criminals need to be put in jail.

Although “background checks” will weed out the “criminals” the fact that there are so many concealed carry killers including mass murderers shows that this is not the only group.

There is one intervention that would reduce mass shootings, spousal murders and very definitely suicides

sure, we need MORE guns, not less, that way we can increase our gun deaths, not decrease them

Japan has a higher suicide rate that The United States.

Japan also has one of the highest female homicide rates in the world.

They hardly have any guns.

That way the people can defend themselves. You’re a fool if you believe America will ever get away from guns. There are too many to confiscate even if you tried. Not to mention that if it were tried there would be mass uprisings

that aside, Biden’s gun control bill made it worse so maybe more guns would make it better. Why not influence self defense and supply public classes?

The outcome proves it doesn’t it? We have never had this many mass shooting in this short of time until Biden’s bill was passed. Shows it had no effect or a negative effect. Either way Gun control does not work as this is proof

 

Suicide isn’t murder and I don’t much feel bad for those that commit it.

No one argued whether or not its murder. A poster said Japan has higher rate than US, and I proved it wrong. US rate has increased quite a bit in the past 20 yrs. Some States consider attempted suicide a crime, but clearly successful ones won't have a defendant.

As for not feeling bad for people who are in such despair that they take their own life.....I think most people feel compassion, especially if its someone who is close to you.

Sure. It doesn't really have anything to do with it.

Would US suicide rates be lower if there were no guns? Who knows. Maybe. In the Western world, suicide rates range from much lower to much higher than US, so it may not be a big factor. The real factor are the causes which drive people to the decision to end their lives
