Sorry.. its a lot more complex than that. Sometimes you don't want to kill anyone in the blast area. On a Battlefield, distance is often measured in time, A day from the FEBA (Front Edge of the Battle Area)... two days back and so forth. If you juggle the location, yield, altitude, etc. correctly you can irradiate troops with a level of "Latent Lethality" say, two weeks from the FEBA just right so that when they get to the FEBA they get sick, not before. Doctrinally, it takes two Soldiers to evacuate every one casualty... so now you get three Soldiers out of the battle area.

The primary casualty producing component of a nuke is the radiation, not the blast. You really don't want to "blast" an area very often. If the fireball touches the ground, it sucks up "stuff" (soil, trash, buildings... everything) which gets irradiated and becomes "fallout". This means you have contaminated an area denying it to ourself as much as the enemy. You have created your own obstacle. So you want to detonate the weapon at altitude so that the fireball does NOT touch the ground. This means there is very little "stuff" to be irradiated and fallout is kept to "militarily insignificant" levels. It will kill the PEOPLE irradiated, but allow you to maneuver and advance through the area.

There are many other planning considerations like "tree blow down" which can be used to obstruct or channel the enemy.

You see? Its not just about blasting and killing. Its a lot more complex than that. And, of course, you want to avoid as many noncombatant casualties as possible.

We must secure the borders of Israel at the cost of every American if necessary. As one great spokeslady said "Israel doesn't need America. America needs Israel." and that is by far the most true statement spoken in today's time. Everyday I kneel before the Israeli flag because I know that God made them Chosen and I'm just a beast for the slaughter at their whim. 900 Israelis died and that means 900,000 Palestinians must die. If the Palestinians don't surrender 900,000 to be ritually sacrificed to Moloch the only solution is to send the Zogbots into action to subdue them. If that happens 2,200,000 Palestinians must be sacrified. It's the only way to perserve Democracy and the Chosen people.

Stop attacking Israel. I say that seriously.

Palestinians have gone from these options...

    ... to Gaza and this...

Every time more conciliatory Israelis came to power, Palestinians or their pals, from Jordan and Egypt to Arafat, couldn't bring themselves to cut a deal. Successive waves on more conservative immigrants tipped the electoral scales to hardliners like Netanyahu and Sharon.

Anyone who knows the history of Palestine can sympathize with Palestinians who watched Jewish migration following WW1. But after WW2, there were too many Jews and Muslims to do anything other than partition Palestine. It was at that point, the Arabs would have been wise to take the UN plan.

They're "vermin". But let them reside in the USA. Are you Jewish? Because I have to agree. All unchosen belong in the lands outside of Holy Land that is Israel.

When Antifa started talking violence, their support among liberals fell like a stone. BLM are ideologues who don't know how to get out of their own way.

Their website had a lot of socialist (real socialist) stuff they took down. But they are who they are and can't resist. Liberals, especially white liberals, will turn on BLM.

Israel doesn't dare create a refugee crisis in Europe. I'm quite sure alarm bells went off when Netanyahu started talking about IDF corridors out of Gaza.

In reference to said $6 billion, and how it will be disbursed, Sec. Blinken and NSCC Brett McGurk responses contradicted your notion…..”likely find its way to support Hezbollah/Hamas”

Thus, you may be right, or you may be wrong.

Israel has made the trade before, many times. It will be interesting to see what happens. I get the feeling they may go after the Hamas and not trade for hostages.
Sounds like the stuff pumped out by the extreme right. Where's your analysis and facts?
Hamas are Iran's dupes? I don't think so.

You have to go back way back in time to truly understand jewish history. They once lived in these lands hundreds of years ago. They were invaded by multiple empires, exiled, persecuted by christians, slaughtered by nazis and despised by many countries, groups of people. They were treated like second class citizens, enslaved. They spread all over the world and always united by a belief system that they will once go back to their land. They returned and claimed israel, pushing arabs out.

and here is why this is w difficult and impossible situation. Jews feel they have been mistreated, marginilized, persecuted, slaughtered for hundreds of years and are fanatical about claiming israel as theirs, where they once lived. The palestinians are equally as fanatical about expelling jews from a land they believe belonged to them. Their hatred is understandable.

unfortunately a policy of expelling and exterminating jews is not tenable yet this is the policy of iran, hamas snd other radical groups. Hamas has control of gaza and their policy is to kill jews and not accept their occupation of israel. Well, how do we negotiate with such human beings? It’s like negotiating with ISIS.

I think the terrible reality is that netanyahu knows there is only one solution. Kill everyone in hamas and if innocent palestinians die, it’s the reality of war. Hamas doesn’t care about palestinians, they fight in civilian areas, hide within civilians as they know this is most effective way to deter israeli attacks. They are corrupt and don’t try snd help palestinians.

Netanyahu is a war veteran, an ex special forces member. He knows what it will take and he, i’m afraid, is willing to do what is necessary. Kill civilians to get to hamas.

Palestinians need to fight hamas from within, once hamas is weakened, this is what they need to do. They cannot exist with a policy of wanting to kill jews and not accept israel.

I read that the singer-poet Leonard Cohen has lineage from the ancient Jewish priestly tribe of Levi. And he may have prophesied the Future while thinking about American society in 1992. His prophecy came true.

You think you can hide weapons in the basement of a Catholic Church and no one would notice?

If you still support UNWRA after that, and all the times they have been caught indoctrinating young Palestinians in Jihad, Martyrdom, Glorifying terrorists who murder Jewish civilians, you are committed with a zeal that I'm supposed to talk you out of?

Nonsense, your beliefs are your burden, they certainly aren't my responsibility. You asked me if I trusted UNWRA with US taxpayer funding and the answer is HELL NO. I support Congress shutting down the government unless that aid is cut off.

I think that the Jewish people will only go along with the military destruction of Hamas if Gazan civilians that wish to flee Hamas are given an opportunity to relocate to the West Bank.

They see the cycle of violence too clearly for indiscriminate slaughter.

That's only my opinion, of course, but there it is.

Too long ago to seriously consider.
I'd take a look at the Jewish population of Israel.

    upload_2023-10-9_22-37-39.jpeg

    https://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/population-of-israel-palestine-1553-present

    https://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/jewish-and-non-jewish-population-of-israel-palestine-1517-present

It's not reasonable to kick people out of where they're living for generations because of what happened to them centuries ago.
It was more about creating a homeland for Jews rather than reclaiming lost lands.
Netanyahu can't hope to cull Hamas from 2.3m people. He also can't afford to create an immigration problem in Europe.

Thanks. I'm not really of the generation that lived through that type of thing. So I'm still learning with an open mind.

It's obviously extremely difficult to get unbiased scholarly information about either Israel or Palestine the way the world is at the moment...
