Amazing stuff happening with hand held game consoles. Around 2010 we were being told that hand held consoles were all but dead. Why would someone want one when you can game on your smart phone. Do you really want to carry a 2nd device with you? This view seemed supported by the failure of the Sony PSP and PS Vita. I don't think those consoles died but were murdered by lack of support and the apparent decision to keep you from just connecting them to a TV. Nintendo fixes that with the Nintendo Switch which is the 3rd besting selling console ever (120 million sold WW).

Now you have full blown hand held PCs typically running Windows 10. Valve has released the Steam Deck that gives one their PC library on the go and more.

    Example:

Further, there are reasonably priced emulation machines. Back in the day I so wanted a handheld Gamecube or Dreamcast. Now they are a reality.

Are you thinking of getting such a device? Already got one? Your thoughts about them?
