That's amazing that it actually cranked after being flooded with seawater.

Sadly my friends forerunner was not as fortunate because it sat under flood water for probably a week.

And who knows maybe a good mechanic might have been able to get it to run again but I think he got insurance money for it.

One must be extra careful with the used car market in Florida now with all of the recent floods. You might can get the car running again but you're going to be dealing with electrical Gremlins for the better part of forever.

That is some of the worst vehicle problems and I'm sure that plenty of vehicles have gone to the junkyard it's still probably have 50,000 or better miles on them because no one could diagnose the electrical gremlin which could be a simple as one shorted out wire somewhere

That's why Trump announced a 20% tariff on imports -- that will send a message to all our trading partners and bring them to the table so we can start with equal trading.
Trump = we want equal trading.
Biden and most politicians = We welcome all imports, even the ones made by slave labor, because the USA is a mean country, and we must help the world.

I think your right. I have seen nothing more on this. I expect them to sell off something, but it doesn't look like they have done it yet. If they do, I sure hope it isn't to China.

It was also an American company. While the workers are American, the profit goes to the country who owns it. I'd rather see the profit stay here in the USA.

Can't help but recall how the restructuring of GM [expletive deleted] old people who had invested their retirement funds in GM (like my mother-in-law) while Obama gave equity to the AOW. Also, can't help but recall how my Fix or Repair Daily (FORD) truck engine self destructed about 100 miles out of warranty. Ironically this happened driving past the ford dealer and I was able to coast to the service bay. I feel no loyal as an American to multi-national companies. Only a need to get the best value possible when I buy a car or truck. For cars, currently I believe the best value is Subaru.
