Virtually all my Jewish friends are doctors of some flavor and lawyers, judges etc.

Irving seems to have changed his mind, upon learning of more evidence:

"Irving told the court today he had revised his opinion after seeing the personal files of Adolf Eichmann. Speaking in German, he told the court he now accepted that the Nazis had killed millions of Jews.

At one stage, while giving evidence, he expressed sorrow for "all the innocent people" who died during the war. "I made a mistake when I said there were no gas chambers at Auschwitz," he said

Eichmann said in an interview, long before his capture by the Israelis, that the gas chambers were real.

And there were many other eyewitnesses besides that, and there has been chemical evidence. It is silly for @Kokomojojo to pretend he doesn't know these things.

I work in NYC, and almost all the Jews I know are NOT doctors, lawyers, accountants, etc. I have many relatives here and only ONE is an accountant. Most Jews I know are teachers, engineers, architects, cops, social workers, work for private companies. My wife designs consumer products. My sister teaches. I am a Construction Auditor, used to be a Forester. My bro in law is an engineer.

On this liquidation thing, I need to see the original German transcript since interviewers like to substitute their 'personalized' variants of words for actual words said.
Second no one denies that gas chambers existed, they were used for delousing, what is denied is they were used for gassing people.
Keep in mind that American forensics doctors examined thousands of people and found exactly ZERO gassed people.

It's possible to get someone to say things he doesn't believe himself by threatening to arrange accidents for his children or grandchildren if he doesn't play ball.

Here's a likely example of someone saying something he doesn't believe himself.

How the British Obtained the Confessions of Rudolf Höss
    http://www.ihr.org/jhr/v07/v07p389_Faurisson.html
    (excerpts)
    --------------------------------------------------------------------
He appeared before the International Military Tribunal as a witness on 15 April 1946, where his deposition caused a sensation. To the amazement of the defendants and in the presence of journalists from around the world, he confessed to the most frightful crimes that history had ever known. He said that he had personally received an order from Himmler to exterminate the Jews. He estimated that at Auschwitz 3,000,000 people had been exterminated, 2,500,000 of them by means of gas chambers. His confessions were false. They had been extorted from Höss by torture, but it took until 1983 to learn the identity of the torturers and the nature of the tortures they inflicted upon him.
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------
The texts generally collected under the title Commandant in Auschwitz. Höss is alleged to have written these texts in pencil under the watchful eye of his Polish-Communist jailers, while in a prison at Cracow awaiting his trial. He was condemned to death on 2 April 1947 and hanged at the Auschwitz concentration camp fourteen days later.
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------

I'd always thought that they'd eventually get to him.

Anyway, the physical evidence shows that the official version of the gassing and cremation processes were. impossible.

Science trumps testimony. When testimony goes against science, the testimony is wrong.

Why would anyone worry about Hitler? He has been dead for many years. Meanwhile there are still those who hate Jews today and are ignored. The phony baloney in this thread is weak. Trying to link a political party to Nazis is desperate and easily debunked.

Why not denounce the real bigots? I guess it is just too politically inconvenient.

I think it's important for people to move on, especially since they are not tied to the incident in question(whether it be African-American slaves, or the Holocaust.). The real negative effect is that people harbor self-loathing and hatred in their hearts for things they ultimately cannot control and therefore can do nothing about.

To me, self-loathing is what has come to define 'minority existence' in the West. It's abhorrent as it is self defeating, nay a miserable existence. If I could, I would help every person from feeling that self loathing and self defeating existence.

some people have an undying hatred for Germans and they will never move on as long as they are breathing, even though in the end they cant even prove it happened and the numbers are all demonstrably fictitious.

You are more than welcome to read the Eichmann interview. If you are going to deny what Eichmann says simply because it conflicts with your preconceived notion of Truth, that's on you.

You are welcome to locate the Sassen interview in the original German, however there is no logical and rational reason to doubt the authenticity of the Life magazine article.

It's interesting how posting lots of examples of Hitler's obsessive hatred of the Jews, is bringing such interesting responses. One response is the Jews must have done something terribly wrong and must deserve all of the bigotry directed against them if so many people have hated them over the last 2,000 years. I guess it never occurs to some people that hatred and bigotry can be widespread and doesn't need any logical or intelligent justification. Especially when much of that bigotry is at the hands of a religion that was in extreme conflict and ideological opposition with Judaism. Christians were extremely resentful of the fact that the Jews continue to resist accepting Jesus as their lord and that resentment became expressed in extreme bigotry and hate and persecution. Jews faced extreme restrictions on what they could do where they could live how they could survive. And were eventually exiled from various countries because the Jews continued to reject Jesus and many non-jews even were still embracing Judaism. The expulsion edicts from Spain and Portugal made it very clear why they were kicking out the Jews. Spain and Portugal saw the Jews as a dangerous religious competition and they hated the Jews for continuing to bring in converts. Don't take it from me go ahead and read the edicts.

Then you haven't bothered to look. We have cyanide deposits on some of the walls of the gas chambers.

You've been very respectfully open about your Jewish identity and in that same respect, I am genuinely curious: Why in 2023 does it still matter? Yes, there'll be denialists or whatever, and yes there'll still be bigots. The thing is, it technically isn't unique to the Jewish People. Every race has been ******* on by another race, some worst than others and yeah you guys got the worst of the lot by being targeted for extermination(but since then, others have sadly joined the ugly race of genocide.)

(save nothing for the religious wars which I definitely won't get into as a spiritual atheist myself.). Remembering is cool, and important(though as this thread shows, it's almost impossible to forget) but I do feel you guys run the risk of making Hitler's crimes against you, your identity which is what he would've wanted above all else.

I think Hanukkah is a beautiful holiday, and no group has contributed more to charities and other acts of good will as much as the Jewish People have. Your kindness and empathy is what defines your People, not nazi war crimes.

Okay, no. The Treaty of Versailles(the second one, I was shocked to learn there are two) came after a long and complicated WWI(otherwise known as the Great War). The ones pushing for the treaty the hardest was not the Jewish People, but France! (whom Germany invaded through neutral Belgium and the Netherlands, in violation of international law.).

That said, the cause of the war in my opinion was not Germany but Austria-Hungary, it was Austria-Hungary who gave the Serbs the unreasonable demands, and went to war even after a vast majority of said demands were met.

But the Austrian-Hungarian empire was dissolved by this point. And the Serbs themselves were a smaller State. So by process of elimination, and due to violating basically 3 countries and the desire for revenge, France put forth the Versailles protocols as we know them today.

I do think that England made a mistake in backing France to the extent that she surprisingly did(even if she wished for a Franco-German border to remain and thus competition between the two, backing one side over the other would be one of the principle causes of the Second World War.)

Had England not backed France to the hilt, it's quite possible a different, more favorable(or at least less bombastic) treaty appears. If the allies say 'no more' to the war(as was the case in 1918 ) then France alone could not possibly bolster much to the Germans.

England would later find this out post-1945, when an economically depressed Germany would leave the European states powerless to Soviet Aggression. And hence, the policy to restore the European economy and then to approve the reunification of the German State in the 90's.

Today, France and Germany share a common border and a common commitment to the European Union, turning a very bloody tragedy into a somewhat happy ending.
