Huh? You mentioned failed democracies as being a problem. How do you know whether a democracy has failed?
Perhaps. However, you cited income inequality as a problem. Why do you consider income inequality to be a problem?
When NICS was first instituted during the Clinton administration, President Clinton boasted that more than a 100k people were denied the purchase of a firearm. So where were the arrests? Assuming that many people that applied we're convicted felons or otherwise denied the right by law to possess firearms, why were these not prosecuted. Lying on the form is punishable up to ten years, handling a firearm is also ten years, and possession of ammo is up to 5 years per round (bullet). Get tough on criminals using firearms, make prison a place they never want to go again. Three hots and a cot are all they are entitled to, not basketball courts or gyms with weights, or TV, or even AC. MAKE PRISON MISERABLE. Some of these criminals live better than our military on deployment.
Income inequality does not exist, it is a term invented by liberals to excuse a lack of education and or laziness, when it comes to getting paid.
So you are saying I should be more worried about the things on this list than "someone trying to take [my] guns away"? Seems to me those things on the list become less important to me if I have my guns.
"need a gun" maybe, but just the fact that I and millions of other Americans have guns is what keeps the status quo.
You have made this sort of statement many times. Do you really see something like the Australian style gun confiscation working in the U.S.?
I have serious doubts about many people being willing to die for the cause of gun ownership. A few Timothy McVeigh types might violently resist but I don't think the majority of gun owners would.
