http://greedybastards.com/ Hotspotting is the key here. We can reduce cost without cutting services. Our Health Care issues are structural, not philisophical! This is how we move forward in HC. Thoughts?
Check this out too, very good read: http://healthland.time.com/2013/02/20/bitter-pill-why-medical-bills-are-killing-us/ I believe healthcare to be a utility, much like power and roads. I see no problem with government providing it and of course allowing the market to sell its good along with it. At the very least we need to break up local monopolies and FFS get government programs like medicare to stop with these BS negotiated prices. More free market will solve a lot of issues, but since it's healthcare, I see no problem in government providing a government solution outside of the private sector. Government health care is a hard thing to swallow for me because I fully believe in the free market, but at the same time I believe the government needs to provide the infrastructure we all need to be successful. If a free market solution can be found then awesome, go with it, but if not then the government needs to provide. That our healthcare is a matter of our jobs providing it to us is bull(*)(*)(*)(*). A homeless person or someone working at 7-11 deserves the same level of treatment as I get as a software engineer. Again if we can come to a free market solution I'd prefer it, but if not then government needs to provide here. No one should have to consider cost before going to the doctor.
It is sickening to see illegal aliens being treated at the expense of our citizens. End medical care for illegals.
