this is laughable as hell. Do these rich scum bags think the rest of the human population will give up on oil? Do they think China, Russia, Iran, Saudi, and other countries of that nature will actually go along with this? How do they expect to get everyone onboard with this?

There is absolutely no way in hell every country will jump on with this. Why? Because there is no other energy as cheap and condensed as oil. If they quit adding to oil reserves do you realize how fast oil will go up in price? We don’t even have an electrical grid good enough to handle a 100% reliance on electric cars. How do they expect farmers to efficiently farm? How do they plan on getting food produced and shipped without oil? Our way of life relies to heavily on oil to just say hey, let’s stop drilling now. You think COVID shutdown the economy? Just wait till this is tried.

to top all this off we are at the doorstep of war. Do you think doing this will increase or decrease our national security?

With all this contrary evidence of a doom-laden present and future, isn’t it time we simply stop listening to these unproven claims?

 

The headline talks about "mass shutdowns of fossil fuels", but the text talks about limiting funding of coal by 2040, and phasedown of existing oil and gas production by 2050.

Which is correct?

And more importantly....who's going to listen to them?

 

That's really the summary of the problem, isn't it? Coal, oil, and gas production is the business of massive international and intertwined businesses operating on profit motive to make lives better for millions of workers in those industries.

Yeah, they're just going to shoot themselves in the privates and lay down and die voluntarily over the next 20 or 30 years because a bunch of politicians with the IQ of Cheez Whiz say so. All over the world. Some 160+ countries with their own interests. Just going to shut it down because a bunch of weenies flying private jets to Davos say so.

I wouldn't bet on it if I were you or anybody. Take out one corner of the market and someone else will pick up the slack. I mean the basic technologies have been around for 150 years and aren't much of a secret if you've got the capital.

The only question right now is who's going to die first from self inflicted wounds.

I really don't either, but I'm 62 so it's unlikely I'll make it to 2050. But I owe it to God and my children to use my career and wisdom to point out that these kinds of lies are driving America into a horrible post-American age that doesn't bode well for any hope of freedom being obliterated along with the general population.

It's particularly important given my kids tacit support for this kind of baloney. Maybe, if enough people understand the horrible other side of global warming walkers, maybe it can still be stopped.
