I beleive the Tea Party is strongly tied to racism.

I did not know this. Even more proof of total Tea Party racism. You cant tell me that Paul didn't discuss race with this racist or that he didn't somewhat agree to even allow him to stay. Then he defended him on top of everything else. The Neo Confederate and Paul wrote a book on guess what group? The Tea Party. This definitely removes any doubt for anyone other than those wanting to hide the agenda until they can act on it. I would love to hear Black Conservatives or Black Tea Party members explain how they could be in a group with this guy.

Generally, many Whites in America try to ignore or deny racism (it's comfortable); that is a major part of the problem. (It's not just going to fade away, it is a 'problem' for ALL Americans that must be resolved.)

No, mostly northerners. A friend of mine would rather be in the south where you know who is a racist than in the north where you don't. Plenty of democrat racists in both north and south.

Whatever. Yet it is fairly apparent that today's version of "Dixiecrat" has migrated toward the Tea Party (Republicans). It can be denied, but it is largely true. It appears the 'regular' (Reagan) Republicans weren't far enough to the racist-right... so many racists have migrated to the Tea Party.

"...the first thing it would promote is paying for the authorized expenditures required to balance the budget."

    Taxcutter says:
No. The very first thing is to reduce to level of authorized expenditures. The Tea Party has a whole alphabet soup of obsolete agencies that could be eliminated entirely. The Tea Party even has a plan for reduction of military spending - mostly through curtailment of the Federal Acquisition Regulations, and adoption of a more maritime (as opposed to continental) foreign policy/defense stance.

But sooner or later the big three (SS/Medicare/medicaid have to be addressed. The logical way to tackle these is through raising the eligibility bar going forward. Acknowledge the fact that people live longer today than in FDR's and LBJ's days. Restore the 1935 calculus that you had to be on "borrowed time" to collect benefits. Embark on a ten year program of escalating eligibility requirements and the whole entitlement problem will taper down.

But just mindlessly increasing taxes to pay for mindlessly run programs makes no sense at all. further, using a high marginal tax rate on income for increasing taxes narrows the tax base and gives an increasing portion of the population the idea that government runs on other people's money.

Further, white SS/Medicare/Medicaid recipients far outnumber black recipients, so the whole "racism" angle is completely false.

This thread is the result of leftists getting their information from the Democratic/Marxist Party propaganda machine.

In reality... TEA Party events have a nice variety of Americans.

Sticking your head in the sand only makes you blind. I suggest pulling your head out of somewhere. Plenty of racist democrats around.
BTW: you have proven nothing against my assertions other than just dismissing them without proof.

Is it not arrant racism to trap black children in underperforming unionized K-12 schools?

Is it not racism to cut off any escape from this trap?

Sure, if 'racism' just means 'something I think is bad.'

To be racism, such policies would have to be deliberately designed to hurt a race that the policymakers wanted to hurt.

I don't buy that. I'm interested in seeing proof of that.

Correct. People keep trying to redefine "racism", but the dictionary does the best job.

Haven't you heard of "Disparate Impact?" I thought you were well educated.

Disparate impact may be very bad, but I would say it's not racism unless created from racist motives. However, I would include not considering or disregarding some people's interests due to racism to be among such motives.

Likewise, disregarding disparate impact once it is shown may be a symptom of racism....

Proof of how an entire network filled with leftist buffoons and loons could screw up a wet dream. BTW, is anyone still on the ed Shultz suicide watch after ed's communist union buddies got their heads handed to them during the Scott Walker election out in Wisconsin?
