yeah, selfish (scrooges) try to make Christmas a Christian only holiday, let's fight to prevent that

Christmas is a secular federal holiday, Christmas is a holiday for everyone, BYOR (bring your own Religion if you want)

Go find a valid argument .. Hitler helping build a bridge after a storm .. did not turn him into cuddly wuddly was a Bear...

Further - - there is a difference between "Christians" and the Religious Right --- the latter deserved of disparagment - every measure and more that demon spawn.

This is a bigotry thread, not a religious thread.

There's no such thing as the "religious right". That's another one of those made up terms the Leftists came up with.

Which particular posts are showing intolerance towards religion? Keep in mind there is a difference between intolerance and criticism.

Perfect example of what I posted ;) You think conservative collective as a religion simply because you yourself see the leftist political party as a collective.. Conditioning has you gripped in it's ideology :) My point wasn't allegiance to mortals, you are so steeped in DNC and political allegiance you can't even realize faith, and something beyond mortal politics :)

But the climate change cult gives them something to think about beyond this life.... They shall live on vicariously through the lives of their grandchildren that were never endangered...

didn't make one donut ... so why you trying to buy .. it was your laughable nonsense that was shown to "suck" invalid nonsense - trying to pretend that because Hitler built bridges that his other sin's were absolved. a pathetic joke of an argument to be sure.

Is there some belief that there are not atheist organizations? That’s a new one on me.

    A belief they don’t exist doesn’t mean they don’t. :)

I’m simply not aware of any specific atheist groups. You seem to be. Can you share?

The term "Religious Right" is a Leftist pejorative for any Christian they don't like. i.e. it's just another made up term used as an insult.

I’ve never heard that they harm anyone. I think the context is you don’t see them out helping the general public like a lot of religious organizations do.

I have no dog in the fight. Just never seen the claim atheists organizations don’t really exist. Did someone say the 1963 organization was harmful? What did I miss?

I wonder if these groups were out more helping the public they would be noticed more?

Do religious organizations wear team shirts when they go out to help? How does one know people helping belong to a church, atheist group, VFW groups, etc. Maybe church groups have a need to announce to everyone their helping whereas other groups just go out and help without announcing it to everyone. Meh...who knows

faith based initiatives are funded by atheists too, we hire them to do go works, the question is, are we getting our moneys worth and are they giving credit to the taxpayers for paying for it

    this is just one church

    "Bush's Faith-Based Initiative Gave Obama's Former Church $1.5 Million"

    http://www.cnsnews.com/news/article...itiative-gave-obamas-former-church-15-million

"Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago, Ill. – where Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama worshipped for two decades – has received more than $1.5 million in federal tax money since 2003 through the Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives"

    http://rationalrevolution.net/articles/history_of_the_separation_of_chu.htm

"When a religion is good, I conceive it will support itself; and when it does not support itself, and God does not take care to support it so that its professors are obliged to call for help of the civil power, 'tis a sign, I apprehend, of its being a bad one.
    - Benjamin Franklin: in letter to Richard Price, October 9, 1780"

they have built some stunningly beautiful architecture, written some of the richest of choral and orchestral pieces/ literature and contributed mightily to our great reformist movements as well. The foundations/ contributions of both the best and worst of our western thought, was often borne of Christian minds and leaders.

Are you saying it’s a scheme to get religious people to do good deeds others aren’t willing to do? Seems a bit underhanded. Like hiring a gardener or maid?

Perhaps government giving money to church charities is God’s will? :) Would you apply BF’s opinion to other organizations as well? Say the UN or non faith based aid organizations? Maybe FEMA even! If government is so great should it fund itself without depending on taxes?

As I said before I have no dog in the fight. I just find it interesting to see everyone’s reaction when their ox is gored.
