You have some valid points, I grant you.
But I haven't looked into the matter.
Of interest was that about 170 Israelis suffered reactions to the vaccine they used.
And 4 million are now vaccinated, leading to a huge drop in hospitalizations and deaths.

The 'argument' about big pharma reminds me of the one about Big Oil. Some say that
Big Oil profits from global warming - the same people don't see themselves as The
Demand for big oil products like transport, fabrics, plastics etc.. I want companies to
make billions off their products 'cos that money goes back into research, investment
and more products like better iPhones, Teslas, Dreamliners and yes, Covid vaccines.

 

Yep, enjoy diarrhoea, polio, plague, etc. all natural.

 

I deal with a woman who is 'all natural'
Rejects vaccines, modern medicine in general, GM food, even cell towers
which could lead to Covid. Go figure.
So I put it to her that once the 'ice industry' rejected modern refrigeration
as unnatural and introducing foreign chemicals into ice. So there's
artificial ice.
And that cool breeze from a fan is 'artificial wind'
And that great invention, the ways of starting fire manually, is just
artificial fire.
She's thinks I am 'stupid' but I have to wonder...

The vaccinations came around the same time the virus was already on the wane and not enough have been vaccinated for the vaunted herd immunity. There is a measure of any pandemic called R0. If the R0 is 1 or below the infection is on the way out. The infection has been at 1 or below for some time. The vaccinated % has not been around long enough to affect that or affect little along with already existing immunities in the population.

The first estimation of 2 million dying was probably not off the mark if there were no existing immunities in the population. As with all of this, so much was unknown. Turns out there are existing antibodies in the population which reduced the number dying considerably and which helps herd immunity. Whether you trust the numbers or not, and there are reasons not to trust the numbers, Covid 19 is another flu virus but much more deadly at this point and will be with us in the future like all other corona virus flu viruses. The corona viruses are the most deadly of the pantheon of flu viruses.

I contracted H1N1 in 2009 when it entered the US on the east coast. With that I can understand how in 1918 people died in one day. I felt it move through my lungs top to bottom as I lay on my hotel bed. Since then I have never been sick or had a cold or the flu which usually happened once a year previously. Do I have existing antibodies for corona? Maybe, maybe not but I am not afraid of this virus and if I catch it, at my age, I have a 98.5% chance of surviving and a guaranteed better resistance than getting the shot which comes with caveats.

Sure, that's interesting. And people are surprised when I say I wouldn't have the Covid vacc
voluntarily - but only because I am Australian and we don't have a raging epidemic here.
But as it is, on the 25th I have to have my shot for my work. But that's okay.
I just don't trust nature to take its course - because its course is to kill off large numbers of
people.

Even though virologists warn the jab may end up killing more. Informed consent has been abandoned for fear porn.

 

I don't know of any clinical virologist who claims the cure is worse than the condition.
Let alone finding the majority of virologists making that claim.
I had a few shares in Moderna. Those guys impress me with their mRNA stuff. And
in the coming years we are going to see a lot of this tech being used for other diseases.
And soon - CRISPer tech - I am sure that lots of anti-GM 'experts' will hate that one.

A friend just called this morning to tell me that a friend of ours who had bad reaction to the shots about 2 months ago is now in the hospital on a respirator. The prognosis is poor, with many organs failing.

If the shot hurt at the time of injection, then the person administering it did it wrong. Sound like they may have hit one of the two big nerves in your upper arm.

Anyway, people on dialysis are at high risk for serious complications with COVID, so getting the jab may not be the worst possible scenario.

 

Let him publish a scientific paper instead of talking crap to the media.

It has. Though it started again about an hour into dialysis today but some Tylenol and a brief nap seems to have cleared most of it up.

 

I'm glad you were able to get some relief. Hopefully, you've made it through the worst of it.

 

I find it odd that one whose former posts generally support untrammeled Capitalism as the highest good is also implying that just because one industry is reaping great benefits that they must therefore be dishonest crooks who are taking advantage of people's misery. Some people often do exactly that in the pharmaceuticals business, no question, but that doesn't mean that everyone who cures a disease should be seen as a heartless monster just because they make money doing it.

 

Yet you are willing to forgo all safety precautions and obey government to take an experimental treatment. Pharma and government do not have a stellar history in this regard. Let’s call it uninformed consent.

 

Certainly, you understand that it's only reasonable to question the ethics involved in simultaneously shutting down the world and Miracle Gro new millionaires/billionaires?
