After reading many many right wing extremist posts on here, I have come to the conclusion that most (not all) republicans and all tea party people think we should all be living on the bare minimum, sometimes even below that. Now, this of course does not apply to the top 10% because they are the only true workers. See in a republican or **********s mind the average worker is already grossly overpaid. What right does anyone have to earn more than 25k a year without either A being born into a wealthy family or B being a top level executive of some corporation. Sure there are definitely some of the rich who deserve every penny. However alot do not, but that irrelevant to republicans. The issue is they seem to think the rest of the population simply drains our economy. We should all be living in 1 bedroom apartments or houses, eating only when absolutely necessary, and of course have no luxuries of any kind. Luxuries are only for the rich since they "earned" it. This of course also applies to welfare programs like unemployment payments, medicare, SS, assisted housing etc etc.

After all this, I still fail to see how this somehow will grow our economy and our quality of life. Am I missing something?

Yes. The investors claim they pay too much in taxation but being the hypocrites they are, don't mind others paying a higher rate than they have to endure.

After all, they live off investment interest which is taxed at 15% and is not acquired from working although others are expected to do that at a higher taxation rate.

Looks like you need to take a reading comprehension course, if that is your take on the right wing posts on this forum.

In the words of the writer Joe Bageant, the Republican party has become “the party of the dumb and callous rich." Somehow the messaging of the GOP has led a lot of undereducated and dispossessed people to vote for a party whose actions run contrary to their best interests. The Tea Party is the best example of this phenomena.

You probably are missing something... we all do from time to time.

As far as what the tea party is all about, I'm not sure but I seem to have gotten the message that they are against a nanny-state government and insist that the government must stop rewarding/encouraging people to live on welfare and government assistance.

In then end, they will probably fraction the republican party like Ross Perot did that caused votes to be drained from Bush Sr... allowing Clinton to get elected... but in this case it will be Obama.

So... now I'm confused at why Harry Reid would come out and say the tea party is insignificant.. he, as an democrat should be cheering them on to divide his opposition party.

There is no greater weapon to create division than to call them insignificant. That will rile the Tea Party up to even crazier levels than before. They are on a warpath to destroy America and turn us in to a third world country.

About the only thing you're right about is your republican/tea party connection. We're one in the same, baby. Get used to it. ;)

Pretty words. Must be the way democrats convince blacks they have their best interest at heart... while their unemp rate is 17% with a democrat in the white house.

Tell me exactly how it is that the GOP has helped the undereducated and dispossessed. Study the demographics of Mississippi, Arkansas and West Virginia before responding.

No, the tea party believes that everyone should be rewarded a middle class lifestyle without working for it. They do not believe that we should protect our borders to keep a wage-destroying/benefit-leaching group of anti-Americans from flooding into our country. They believe that the federal government (or better yet a group of 12 + Obama) should be handed all of the power and that the federal government is not corrupt and that Obama and his healthcare fraud is not economic fascism.

They also advocate bailing out failed international bankers and corporations. They are fans of eugenics and actually believe that they are a part of this elite ruling class. They also have a hard time believing that the sun and natural weather patterns have anything to do with climate change and that the way to solve this is to tax everything breathing or working.

You are still lost in the left vs right paradigm, which our destroyers created for us so we could be destroy.

You can not help in something you don't understand. But to be fair, a lot of the people who claim to be right are just as lost as you.

You started with you came to a conclusion, and ended with you still fail to see.....and then asked if you were missing something.

Please. Stay on the left. I beg of you, don't ever change.

My motivation for voting Republican is that I don't want my taxes go up. I know that if I vote Democrat, its more likely my taxes will go up.

This is very easy and even a Democrat should be able to understand it.

It is easy to understand that someone would want to keep as much money as possible. However, I also realize that everyone must pay their fair share of taxes, and that some groups can pay more than others.

Yes. You're missing the entire thing. And if I honestly thought you were open-minded enough to give an honest listen, I would be happy to explain it to you. But you flippantly throw around words like "extremist" any time someone has any kind of conservative views. And you have made violent statements in the past on this forum aimed at people for nothing more than having different beliefs than yourself. In my opinion, you have extremely poor self-awareness and are projecting your own faults onto others. So there is literally no point in discussing this any further with you.

Then we should get the 50% that don't pay taxes to pay taxes
