I understand why CNN didn't shut Trump down in the middle of the townhall, but...

I understand that it was because he was asking for more rope to hang himself. He confessed that he willingly and knowingly stole the documents he kept in Mar-a-lago. He confessed that he had them "lined up" so people "took pictures" of them, which will land him in jail if they were classified (as any moderately intelligent individual would suspect they were). He added quite a bit of evidence of "corrupt intent" in his Georgia case when he confessed he said they "owed him votes". He admitted that he knew his words on January 6 would be acted on. And that they would have stopped if he told them to. Which is one of the elements prosecutors would have to prove.

He also committed slander again, against E. Jean Carrol, just in case she decides to bother suing him again.

But, then again, CNN DID give Trump a platform to slander Carrol again. That's the moment they needed to cut the interview short and apologize to their audience and to her. Doing that would have somewhat ameliorated the whole spectacle.

This will definitely boost Trump ahead of the primaries. But it will also provide a good number of easily debunkable lies that Biden will surely use in the campaign against him. However, overall, I don't think it was worth all the benefits, if nothing else, because they allowed Trump to slander one of his sexual assault victims. It also showed CNN's inability to fact check a pathological liar in real time. Which means they cared more about ratings than about the facts.

What I can't get is why clapping was allowed but booing was not. Maybe it was a Trump condition?

    Trump’s second term seems inevitable.

'Face it: Biden isn’t that popular. Using the RealClearPolitics average, he is now slightly more unpopular (a net approval of minus 11.6 percent) than Trump was at this stage in his presidency (minus 10.7 percent).'

'Trump is also not that unpopular. Indeed, he is less so than at this point eight years ago. In July 2015, Trump’s net unfavorable number was minus 39.3 percent. Today, it’s minus 16 percent. Then, just 23 percent of voters had a positive view of him. Now it’s 39 percent. The RealClear figure for Joe Biden is 41 percent, and his net unfavorable is minus 12 percent.'

'Former treasury secretary Larry Summers called the Biden administration’s inflationary fiscal mistake back in February 2021, and he said last week that there’s a 70 percent probability of a recession within the next year. He is not alone.'

Trump was much better on the economy that Illegitimately Installed Biden

'What we have witnessed over the past two years is an epic policy failure'

'Joe Biden is in serious danger of following Gerald Ford, Jimmy Carter and George H.W. Bush into the trashcan marked “one-term presidents.” Why? For the simple reason that no president since Calvin Coolidge a century ago has secured re-election if a recession has occurred in the two years before the nation votes. It does not need to be as severe as the Great Depression that destroyed Herbert Hoover’s presidency. A plain vanilla recession will suffice.'

“The issue got new prominence when Mr. Reagan stressed it as he closed his argument in the debate in Cleveland by saying, ‘Ask yourself, are you better off than you were four years ago?’”

'And in 1992, Bill Clinton ran on “the economy, stupid,” one of three points on a sign that his chief strategist James Carville hung in the campaign headquarters in Little Rock, Arkansas.'

'If you think the economy isn’t going to be the issue in the 2024 election, look at the Gallup poll on “satisfaction with the way things are going in the US.” That’s currently at the 1980 level, half what it was four years ago, before the pandemic. Gallup’s economic confidence index is deeply in negative territory, the opposite of where it was under Trump. And this is before any recession.'

'Whoever is running against Biden gets to play some variation on the “Worst economy in 50 years” tagline of Bill Clinton. But DeSantis can add a variation of Reagan’s trademark: “Are you better off than you were four years ago? Well, Florida residents aren’t. As to the rest of America…”'

All the pictures that I saw, were pictures of the documents with cover sheets. Nothing classified visible there.

How is that corrupt intent if he thought the votes were not counted properly?

Knowing his words would be acted on does not say he told them they should enter the capitol building.

Biden is popular with the young (the new voters that think woke is a good thing. lol ) because they're too naive to know any better that they're getting duped by puppet Biden's shenanigans. Here's how it will go... He'll continue to say MAGA is a threat to the country, white supremacy is worse than climate change, and orange man bad hysteria will be what he runs on because let's face it, he's done nothing good for the country.

For a guy who claims to do his research, you seem to have missed the virtually unanimous opinion that Trump wiped the floor with CNN. Even CNN people admit it.
They shortened the program from 90 to 70 minutes in a damage control effort, to stop the bleeding and embarrassment of their own network.

Let us know if you can't find the reports of that and we will send you lists.

You back the people who have done more damage to this nation in a few years than any political group in history. People whose management style is a cross between the "loose cannon" and a wrecking ball. People whose fiscal policies are that of a drug-addicted kid with daddy's credit card.... and whose personal honor on the 1-10 scale comes in at Minus 9.

They SHOULD lose. If they prevail, we ALL lose. And they know they can count on you to defend them..... Wow.

CNN thought that if they gave Trump a national podium to say anything he wanted to he would say enough to get himself into trouble. They forgot that Trump has a hard core following of fanatics.

People love Trump who feel that American society is evolving in directions they do not like, and they believe that Trump can somehow reverse these directions. Christian conservatives fear a society that is becoming more secular and hedonistic. White blue collar Republicans fear being replaced by non whites at home and abroad, and by computer technology and automation. Small business owners fear socialism.

The following poster catches Trump's appeal:

    trump-tweet-meme-1.jpg

My hatred for Trump is visceral, but I recognize his charismatic appeal. He has already been convicted of sexual abuse. Other trials loom. The Democrats have about a year to put this dangerous, evil man into prison.

Wishcasting fake news. New Hampshire voters are hardly fanatics, especially next to the Corrupt Cabal that rigged the 2020 election.

The problem for the lying fake news, that works in league with the Left is that they have been lying about Trump for years, while denying him a platform to refute those lies. As soon as he has a platform, the web of lies collapses.

Historian Makes Huge Prediction for 2024

'You can take this with a grain of salt, but according to Niall Ferguson, a historian and senior fellow at the Hoover Institution, there is a strong possibility that former Donald Trump will emerge the victor in the 2024 presidential election.'

'In an op-ed for The Spectator, Ferguson argued that “A second Trump act is not just possible. It’s fast becoming my base case.”'

'Trump’s legal issues are backfiring because of the perception that Democrats are abusing the legal system for political purposes.'

'Democrats assume that Trump can’t beat Biden — and that’s probably the only reason they’re tolerating nominating a vegetable for president '
Your world view seems deeply infected with racism. Most Americans are post racial.
That's perfectly rational as the US Left's form of socialism is totalitarian theft.
    Yawn.

I have mixed feelings about it. We shall see how it all pans out.

His hard core base was happy for the Townhall, but all sensible persons were nauseated by it.

Probably reaffirmed the point, reminded the majority of the electorate who this man is.

His hard core base were intentionally selected for the audience, and I doubt they come close to representing 'new hampshire voters' on the whole.

Rigged the election? Really? Are you still beating that dead horse? That has been debunked too many times to even list, so quit prevaricating.
the left leaning media gave Trump more unearned media than they did anyone else during the 2016 election. Heck, they practically handed him the WH .

AS for 'lies', as the Dominion suit proved, the right lies to the tune of a $787 million settlement. Oh, don't try and spin that one. No one pays out that kind of money if they had a remote chance of disproving the plaintiff's case. The emails and texts prove they lied to their teeth, and were hypocrites.
It's possible that Trump could win.

But he must be opposed by any reasonable and legal method.

That he is a criminal, regardless of the politics, he must be prosecuted.

As for the 'perception' that is a narrative being promulgated solely by the right.

they lie, and then they lie some more.

    Therefore, you are projecting.
