I'm Not Sure Why James Cameron Would Make "Avatar: The Way Of Water" So Boring

I've liked Christoph Walz in everything I've seen him in, but overall I concur with your assessment of Django Unchained. On the other hand, Pulp Fiction & Jackie Brown are 2 of my favorites.

The first one was just Pocahontas. It didn't really have a clever or memorable story when I try and think about it I can't remember what the story was.

The movie wasn't about making a story and they don't have to be it was about how fancy we can make cartoons now.

Since the quality of CGI has plummeted over the past 10 or so years I would think that this one is probably not as stunningly beautiful as the first one or it's just a rehash stuff we've already seen.

I don't get why Hollywood continues to cast Liam Neeson as an American. It's like casting Sylvester Stallone as James Bond.

Yes, but it would be okay if a movie about Rocky Marciano stars Will Smith.

Or Stacey Abrams as Winston Churchill. She's one hell of an actor, as we all know.

I did not see any of these movies. Thank you for confirming I made a good choice.

I would absolutely watch Stallone as Bond. Not my perfect casting (Steve Buscemi or Lil Rel Howery would be perfect) but close.

Maybe he needed the cash to make another titanic movie. I’ll at least give him credit for what Rolex did for him for taking that watch down so far. The Submariner is an awesome watch.

    I have a feeling this film isn’t.

Its acting folks. I am sure that even a John Wayne can be Genghis Khan with enough grease paint.

If Mickey Rooney can be a japanese landlord than why can't Liam play an American?

So he watched 20 mins of a 3 hour movie.......well, I suppose you can still offer an opinion, but it would meaningless.

Me, I did see the 1st one, but have not seen the 2nd. Of course Republicans hated the first one. It was about a mega corporation destroying a rain-forest and its inhabitants, and as such it portrayed corporate greed in negative light. They hate that.

I thought The Revenant was very good, but lately lot of new movies are coming out in streaming and there aren't too many.

If he could pull the accent I'd cheer him on. Not quite as egregious as when the Pythons tried to do it, but not good. The Rooney-era of Hollywood was curious in that regard. Today's wokesters would be overcome with outrageously outrageous outrage. But I have to give him credit: from the vantage point of my own Japanese ancestry, the accent wasn't too bad. The Bugs Bunny buck teeth were a little much. I surfed into an old Columbo episode not too long ago, and was chuckling at the white actors playing Arabs... unconvincingly. Their accents were amusing at best.

Avatar I had possibly the highest "production values" of any movie ever made but the storyline of "Fern Gully" copied so closely I still wonder why they weren't sued for plagiarism.

This time I think they used "Father Goose"

I think Cameron sees his movies as platforms for CGI. Story is secondary.

This isn't really a showcase of CG either in the first one was and that's all it was him fisted and brain dead.

They were after unobtainium. Why didn't they just say they were after a MacGuffin.

I would be entertained by really ground breaking CGI but it isn't it's video game quality.

Ha, I forgot about that, "unobtainium." They just came right out and called it that. They didn't even try to rationalize it. At least for this movie they came up with a resource that made more sense.

The movie had nothing to do with the story.

It's just a rip off of Fern gully.

It was a showcase of visual effects. It was rather stunning looking at the time but the characters and the story were just background noise.

I don't remember much about it either. It's not memorable.
