Read the thread. I listed the five charges which put the FL guy in prison for 8 months. Some others face more charges Well, the facts prove the evidence was shared. See the zip-lock guy for example. Prosecution shared evidence that he took them from the cops. What evidence has NOT been shared? You want MORE evidence of your buddies ransacking the Capitol and beating up cops?
capital was not assulted. No, it does not splain it but it does add to the question why was not Capitol police better prepared, even though the leadership was warned.
Oh, that's right, they were just tourist who decided to vandalize the rob the Capitol and beat up the cops. Why do you make excuses for criminals? If you say so, but these guys were not democrats, and neither am I.
Democrats do it all the time but you characterize their favorite activity as mostly peaceful. If you were just talking about vandalizing, assaulting and criminal trespassing, I'd go along with it. Insurrection, sedition, treason? Count me and the FBI out. By the way, how do you vandalize the rob?
No, I don't. Ironically that is how YOU characterize Jan 6 right now. Besides, your standard line "Bu...bu....bu....but democrats" serves only as a deflection. Its not an argument No, I don't. Stop misrepresenting what I have said.
Speedy trial <> Rushed trial What is "speedy trial"? As of today, they are already in the sentencing phase, so its fairly speedy. Criminal defendants have the right to a speedy trial. In Barker v. Wingo, 407 U.S. 514 (1972), the Supreme Court laid down a four-part case-by-case balancing test for determining whether the defendant's speedy trial right has been violated. The four factors are: Length of delay. A delay of a year or more from the date on which the speedy trial right "attaches" (the date of arrest or indictment, whichever first occurs) was termed "presumptively prejudicial", but the Court has never explicitly ruled that any absolute time limit applies. Reason for the delay. The prosecution may not excessively delay the trial for its own advantage, but a trial may be delayed to secure the presence of an absent witness or other practical considerations (e.g., change of venue). Time and manner in which the defendant has asserted his right. If a defendant agrees to the delay when it works to his own benefit, he cannot later claim he has been unduly delayed. Degree of prejudice to the defendant which the delay has caused.
Obama wanted to ‘fundamentally change America’. Real Americans knows what that means. The left, like always, could only see racism.
Can you name a Democrat who has beat up cops or ransacked buildings? If so, I will be sure not to vote for him or her. Thanks
I'm glad you live in an alternate reality where this is true. Here in the real world, anyone with two brain cells to rub together can see it was definitely assaulted by violent rioters attempting to stop a Constitutional process.
Law enforcement is allowed to break law in enforcing it. The courts' justification is vague, to me anyway, but sting operations are and continue to be legal. These are the types of operations I'd like to see stopped. Posing as a hooker to lure johns should be, but is not entrapment. Buying and then possessing illicit drugs is illegal, unless you're law enforcement. Asset confiscation should be unconstitutional. I'm not sure about lying during an interrogation. If intent to cover up a crime can be shown, then that should be a crime in itself. As to the FBI lying to the public, yes Hoover was corrupt, but I find Christopher Wray to be honorable.
DoJ has apparently just released "notes" taken of a Trump call to Acting AG Rosen, telling him to declare the 2020 election corrupt and leave the rest to him and the Republicans in Congress. Guess that puts Rosen on the subpoena list.
Meanwhile they're held in jail, apparently being beaten. Meanwhile, a BLM or Antifa riot is typically catch, fine and release.
I agree that people being held for trial and have not been convicted should be treated humanely and should be afforded all rights guaranteed by the US Constitution and The Bill Of Rights. They are presumed innocent until convicted. They should be treated as such. Using pre trial detention facilities to pressure suspects into plea deals or to entrap them into being subject to jail house informants is a disgusting practice which should be deemed unconstitutional.
Regardless on how this will all will turn out, The January 6 incident was uncalled for and I'm still upset of this. I believe the reason for is this is that the fact Trump lost the election and the majority of the voters spoke out and made their decision of it. If Trump were to be re-elected, This country and perhaps the whole world would be in chaos. We'd all be doomed. Trump and his followers wanted their way and the January 6 attack was a way to let things be known. Those that attacked were anti-American and it was wrong and should have known it. I hope those responsible for this, should be put in prison for the rest of their lives to teach them a lesson. Enough said.
Yes yes and still, it is you Democrats who have convicted those involved and branded them insurrectionists, seditionists and traitors. All without trial.
I don't have this much free time, sorry. But if you do and can get hold of the list of members of ANTIFA and BLM, use it when deciding for whom not to vote. I'm sure vast majority of them are Democrats and they all violent but mostly peaceful.
