So, was Jesus the first liberal?
It looks like it. To me at least. I mean, instead of stoning an adulteress, he let her go with the words 'go now and don't do it again'. That's pretty liberal, doncha think?
And who invented the ancient hippie slogan 'Love your enemies'? Jesus did.
What about giving your cloak to the one that steals your coat? That's over the top liberal. Instead of bashing them, conforming and giving them even more boot.

    How about this:

That's pretty liberal to me. What about you?

You should vote .. I did :) -- Classical Liberalism .. prior to that the enlightenment .. after that the founding fathers -- is founded on the Golden Rule .. as outlined in the Sermon on the mount in both positive and negative aspects Matt 7:12 "The rule that sums up the Law and the prophets ... Do unto others"

This rule is the founding principle .. foundation of the Constitutional Republic.

Now .. was there folks who expounded on this principle before Jesus .. yes its true Hammurabi .. Confucius .. Buddha all spoke this rule but Jesus made this rule the Rock on which his ministry was based.

Yes... I believe that a pretty impressive case can be presented that Messiah Yeshua - Jesus is a firm believer in Eventual Universal Salvation...........

I tried to explain a few angles on that idea in a blog:

You can also find this verified in the article "The Personality of Moshiach" that is on Chabad .org

Is Rabbi Yeshua - Jesus also known as The Spirit of Moshiach stored in Gan Eden?

Is Rabbi Yeshua - Jesus also The Being of Light of near death experience fame?

Is Messiah Yeshua - Jesus actually one of the first believers in Eventual Universal Salvation.... or something awfully close to it........

once many fulfillments of Ezekiel chapter thirty seven are factored into the formula?

    The Personality of Mashiach

From the Sichos in English Collection

Is Ezekiel chapter thirty seven limited to being a one time event or........

does Messiah Yeshua - Jesus in His resurrected body have the technological capability to take any moment in time from the moment when His grandmother Eve ate of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.............

and spin off an entirely new time line from that moment in time?

Do we live in a Multiverse?
