I can talk of this without beguiling,
To it not having too much to add.
In my dreams I see a little island
You won't find it upon a map.

And to no place, to no place can I flee from this,
Night outside, nobody in the yard.
Only in morning will with shining dawn arise
    Beautiful island of my childhood.

Here I swim in a winding river,
Feeling the strong arms of my dad,
And for this I am happy and carefree
And I can swim without an end.

And to no place, to no place can I flee from this,
Night outside, nobody in the yard.
Only in morning will with shining dawn arise
    Beautiful island of my childhood.

Parting with childhood is a sadness,
The white ship has left, does not come back.
And the luminous feelings of memories
Will be stronger the older you get.

And to no place, to no place can I flee from this,
Night outside, nobody in the yard.
Only in morning will with shining dawn arise
    Beautiful island of my childhood.
