It will be in the tens of thousands. Israel's response to this attack is going to be bloody and decisive.

The current manifestation of the Jewish State as been a colonial project from its very conception; the victims of its viscous, illegal occupation have every right to armed resistance:

https://scheerpost.com/2023/10/08/p...nal law clearly shows that,be a “prison camp”.

"International law clearly shows that the Palestinian people have a legal right to armed struggle against Israeli colonialism, just as South Africans did against apartheid.

"Gaza suffers under an illegal Israeli blockade that even a former British prime minister recognized to be a “prison camp”. Journalist Ben Norton looks over the evidence."

And when the Palestinians lose this war, things will only be worse for them.

I voted for Biden? Are you pro-Israel or Hamas? You're confusing Palestinians with Hamas. Hamas is using Palestinians as human shields. They will not allow Palestinians passage into Egypt.

    That's right.
More resembling an obligation of survival.
I lived in Southern Africa during the Apartheid era and the similarities actually are astounding.
It certainly does look that way.

Israeli cabinet formally declares war against Hamas

From CNN's Amir Tal and Lauren Iszo

The Israeli government formally declared war on Hamas on Sunday, setting the stage for a massive response against the Islamist militant group.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu already said Saturday the country was at war — but that declaration was rhetorical. Sunday’s move by the Israeli cabinet is an official decision, tantamount to a declaration of war by Congress in the United States.

The war declaration was taken in accordance with Article 40 of Israel’s Basic Law, the Israeli government press office said. Israel does not have a written constitution, but its 13 Basic Laws serve a similar function.

Netanyahu said before Sunday’s declaration that Israel would “take mighty vengeance” for the attack by Palestinian militants, while the country’s top military official in charge of activities in the Palestinian territories said after the attacks that Hamas has "opened the gates of hell." Israel has been pounding Gaza with airstrikes, which have killed more than 300 people.

By your definition, did South Africa win or lose its war against a colonial occupier, how about India. If Killer Jews murder too many innocent civilians in their retaliation, Israel will lose even more support in global public opinion.

Living in PR does not disallow you the right to vote any more than if you were living in Matamoros or Vladivostok or the Catskills.

Do you find it hard to believe Israel was not expecting this attack?

The Palestinians did not invade Palestine. The Zionists did. Putting civilians on occupied territory is using them as human shields. There can be no doubt about it.

I find it impossible to believe. Make no mistake, those photos that are now being flashed on this thread are exactly what the Zionist plan was. I guess they were running out of "Holocaust Stories" to tell.

No they didn't. Palestine has been infiltrated with a terrorist group. Biden will allow Israel to wipe Hamas out of Palestine. He will not interfere with their right to live in peace. Now Trump would be pressuring Israel to seek peace immediately. Do you agree?

If Israel gave back the land it occupies, then the Palestinians may leave them alone.

I don't understand why we in the West support the Ukraine for trying to get Russian troops off the land they occupy (quite right), but when the Pqalestinians do it, they're "terrorists"

"Israeli lawmaker blames pogroms against Palestinians for ‘terrible’ attacks'
'Ofer Cassif says he warned the situation would ‘erupt’ if Israel did not change its treatment of Palestinians.'

'An Israeli lawmaker has told Al Jazeera that his party warned about events like Saturday’s Hamas attack on Israel if the country’s government continued its illegal occupation of Palestinian lands.'

“We condemn and oppose any assault on innocent civilians. But in contrast to the Israeli government that means that we oppose any assault on Palestinian civilians as well. We must analyse those terrible incidents [the attacks] in the right context – and that is the ongoing occupation,” Cassif said.

“We have been warning time and time again… everything is going to erupt and everybody is going to pay a price – mainly innocent civilians on both sides. And unfortunately, that is exactly what happened,” he said.'

Regarding Joe Biden and Iran, I feel like a lot of the timing here is too convenient to be denied and furthermore, the Israelis themselves have no reason to deny it even though Biden's team wants to. Here's the timeline as I'm aware of it:

    1. About two months ago, we had multiple MSM articles about how Iran was planning something regarding Israel.
    2. About a month after that, Joe unfreezes $6 billion Iranian dollars. It seems plausible that this was meant to appease Iran.
    3. Attacks happen anyway because they're obviously mad about Trump's probably unwise assassination of Soleimani.
    4. About a day after this, an Iranian spy ring is "busted" and arrested in DC. As usual, the timing of this is too convenient to be believed by anyone who's following the situation. Obviously, they were aware of this alleged spy ring for awhile and chose to arrest them as retaliation/hostage taking in an attempt to get more leverage over Iran after the appeasement failed.

Expect the Israelis themselves to ultimately be unappeased in terms of declaring that Iran is behind this because it doesn't look like it was planned out to happen and appearing weak in their situation is way more dangerous than any of the possible alternatives.

Given the steady diet of western propaganda about "terrorists" in Gaza attacking innocent Israelis, it would be relatively easy for Netanyahu to finish what the Zionists began in 1948:

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1948_Palestinian_expulsion_and_flight

"In 1948 more than 700,000 Palestinian Arabs – about half of prewar Palestine's Arab population – fled from their homes or were expelled by Zionist militias,[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8] during the 1948 Palestine war."

On the other hand, these are ideologues who want Israel erased from the map, so it isn't likely that these policies alone are to blame. They just didn't help the situation.

'May' is the operative word. That's the problem. The Palestinians are not a united front. Some want to wipe Israel off the face of the Earth. And vice versa.
