It’s been almost a year since I’ve worn a mask, how about you?

Huh, What? When did the laws of physics get turned on its head? This virus is 0.03 microns. And you thought water droplets are thousands of times smaller?
OMG, its no wonder why you bought into all this. Now we all get it. lol

I have to wear one at work.

I wear one at stores out of courtesy and to comply with their wishes. I respect the fact that the owner of private property has a right to set the rules, and I am not going to base my shopping on this issue.

At places where it’s not required, I don’t wear a mask.

I also fly across the country a couple of times a year, and you have to wear it at airports and aboard the plane. I really hate that, but I comply.

I realize that the virus is going to spread, regardless. I also think that the overwhelming majority of people are going to get it sooner or later, regardless.

    My two cents ...

We're not well into this year yet.

Submitting to and entertaining other people's delusions is not courtesy. It is doing them a disservice, actually.

Farting is not a delusion; it is a normal bodily function.

Oh dear, try and learn a bit of chemistry. Where did I say that water droplets are thousands of times smaller. You clearly don't know the difference. You've even got the size of the virus wrong, you probably don't even know that it is not possible to measure the size of the virus hence for the large range. Even using your figure, a single virus is 1,400,000 times bigger than a water molecule

The vapor and droplets stop on the mask, the virus does not.

Yes, they do. Water evaporates, dude.

Viruses are not always contained in or forever-bound to droplets. Even for the ones within droplets, the droplets evaporate almost instantaneously.

Apparently one can't know anything about virology unless one has a medical degree... or anything about being a woman unless one is a woman... or anything about basketball unless one is a professional basketball player...

It's sad how dumbed down our society has become... incapable of philosophy... incapable of rationalizing thoughts...

The virus has not got legs or wings that it can use to get away from the water droplets. You need to think of the virus as a fat glubule.

The virus is airborne and it ain't no fat globule. The vapor and droplets are emitted in the same breath but the mask can stop them but the virus sails on through the most commonly used masks

Don't play games, This is what I said initially: "I live in Florida, so we had mandates well into 2021" and you disagreed, so when I later said "this year" it was part of the same exchange, and I meant 2021.

It has nothing to do with submission. If someone fears for their lives because of Covid, then its common courtesy to wear one around them. How can you not see that?

And the whole thing is small enough to go through the common masks.

But you wrote this "The vapor and droplets are emitted in the same breath but the mask can stop them"

And it's true. The mask doesn't stop the breath and that is what carries the virus.

If they're that afraid of a virus, then they should simply stay home.

They will parrot ANYTHING CNN tells them too and no amount of ANYTHING can change their little minds.
It has become a society of non thinkers that can't rationalize for themselves and if you dare disagree with them, its off to cult land with you.
They are a product of the government protecting them from birth so now we have bred a community that usually wouldn't make it past puberty that have bred as well to produce more of their own.

Because their fear is completely and utterly irrational. I will not submit via behaving irrationally in order to indulge someone else's irrationality.

    Bingo.

Instead, they wish to force everyone else to act irrationally in order to appease their own irrational fears.

I will not submit to that.

Yeah, and I will NOT be wearing an N-95 around anywhere... FUUUUUCK that. I will not work under such a condition, and I will not be submitting to that. Go ahead and lock me up for it.

Whenever I'm stopped at the door and they tell me I need a mask to go in, I ask to speak to the manager. I ask him if he can afford to turn away paying customers? They usually start reciting company policy to me. It's at that point I pull out five $100 bills, show him/her and remind them I came there to spend this. Your company policy will eventually cost him/her their job as I go to their competition to spend that money. Please remember this moment when they close your store and they offer you the only location with a vacancy.....in the North Pole.
