And so it begins and I stand by Trump 100% on this issue. Here's the bottom line. Ted Cruz has a Article 2 Section 1 problem. If you've ever been in a position to renounce your foreign citizenship, you aren't a natural born citizen of the USA. Cruz is only a statutory citizen of these United States due the 1952 Imigration and Naturalization Act. No, that's not natural at all. A statutory citizen (bestowed by man's pen) can never be made into a natural born citizen (bestowed by God/nature).

It doesn't matter, the GOP has a number of good candidates. Now the left, with all their eggs placed in Hilarious' basket, they have the real problems.

Trump brings up a serious constitutional matter that needs to be addressed. Why don't you agree?

BIRTHERISM IS ALIVE AND WELL!! Funny, that interpretation would have precluded McCain as well. (Unless there a small print
clause in the Constitution that says, 'unless your daddy is stationed overseas in the US military and you get born there').

PS Trump supposedly started a 'exploratory committee' this week.

Anyone can renounce their US citizenship if they have reached their majority and appear before a judge.

    Trump is still a fool.

Because it's not an issue at all. Cruz, like Obama, is a natural born citizen by birth.

California Governor Jerry Brown told Chuck Todd that Texas Republican Ted Cruz’s recent remarks about global warming make him “unfit to be running” for president.

“That man betokens such a level of ignorance and a direct falsification of the existing scientific data,” he said. “It’s shocking and I think that man has rendered himself absolutely unfit to be running for office.”

I demand to see Cruz' birth certificate. And can he prove he wasn't born to communist parent's in Cuba or that he is not attempting to overthrow our government if he became president ?!

I don't trust him. In fact, I believe his political career started in Putin's villa !

There is no such thing as citizenship bestowed other than by human decree, because that's how countries are formed. By human decree the US can be dissoved, and with it the US citizenship of every American.

Congress can revoke the citizenship status of a naturalized citizen, Congress can also deny acquisition of citizenship to the foreign born.

I agree. He's ineligible. If there was one thing the Framers tried to avoid by inserting Natural Born, it was a president born of a foreign father, on foreign soil. He is naturalized, not natural born.

At least Congress validated his eligibility. At least there were checks and balances.

Obama's only saving grace is being born in the U.S. If he was born in Kenya, to an American mother and Kenyan father; he'd be in the same situation as Cruz, in no way eligible. I'm in the minority that believes the Framers' intent was for natural born to mean both American parents and on American soil. I'd prefer it that way, but it doesn't make it so.

Non-binding Senate Resolution 511 confirmed McCain a natural born citizen because he was born outside the jurisdiction of the United States and both of his parents were U.S. Citizens.

The Insular cases were more binding upon McCain than the Senate Resolution. McCain was born within the jurisdiction of the US, even though not born within the United States.

He doesn't claim to have been born in the U.S. Why should he? I don't care if someone asks him to produce his Canadian birth certificate. I'd have no problem with that. It's in the Constitution that the president be natural born. Much more important to me than how he feels about immigration. He can change his positions. He can't change his birthplace. Unless he's Obama!
