It seems that Covid is on the rise again

I've been watching the US hot spot rate on the New York Times website, and it seems that Covid is on the rise again, especially in the mid-western area from Montana down to New Mexico. And also Alaska. It looks like we should consider getting vaccinated or think about getting a booster shot. That's on you, but be aware of your surroundings.

The number of people who are dying from COVID-19 is increasing at the same rate as before.
There is no reduction in mortality.
The vaccine is useless.

How many boosters will it take would be my question? Every year there is a flu shot for a new strain. I've never had one, though I did get the China Virus vaccine. No booster for me! I'll take my chance. From what I have gathered, new stains become more contagious but less potent. I'll go with that. I have an eighty-five year old friend whose wife came down with COVId. He tested positive but never had any symptoms.

There is concept of rate of growth.
e.g. 1% per month. if vaccines are working we should see reduction e.g. 0.5% per month etc.
It is very simple math.
