Thats the best part of social sites, knowing the name callers are grinding their teeth flat :)

Nothing has changed in how twitter is run.
The owner is still making all the rules.
    Only the rules have changed.

If one doesn't like the rules, one goes to another site.

In most applications there is no right person, and it's usually an angry human with a superiority complex :)

And it is all based on the whim of the owner whether he "likes" you or not.

No line. All speech is protected by the first amendment. But it doesn't protect against the consequences of that speech.

Nope. Not all speech. Lol. You can’t walk into a private business and start shouting how much the business sucks. Try walking into a church and screaming about how loving Satan is. You won’t feel so free after that.

The first amendment is about what government can’t do. Private entities can limit your speech on their property whenever they like.

Those of us on the right have been saying that for a long time.

Most on the right were claiming first amendment violations by Twitter, pre Musk. Don’t pretend otherwise.

I mean I can tell you absolutely that it's less safe as I feel very triggered and unsafe what with all these crazy Republicans speaking their minds and not being instantly canceled for not agreeing with everything that I believe...

Once again, you add enormous value to the conversation. Well done. I think your points have considerable merit and are worthy of discussion.

Correct. Free speech doesn't exist in the private sector. So a discussion of free speech can only apply to government. So yup not nope.

How is all speech protected by the first amendment, then? Example, please. Can you come into my home and scream at my child without my permission? That’s part of your 1st amendment rights?
Are you just trolling for lulz?

To everyone: I was being sarcastic. It seemed from the OP like the Left wants to exclusively decide what constitutes misinformation and conspiracy theorizing.

I am agreeing with you. You explained correctly that the first amendment applies only to government. All speech is protected by government. No speech is protected by others in the private sector. You said it. I agreed with you. Then you got argumentative.

Twitter is completely unsafe. When you click it to open your location is relayed to a nuclear missile silo and you go kaboom.

Yes, in a fascist system corporations are allowed, indeed encouraged, to do government's dirty work against liberty. Liberty dies to thunderous applause. That's what we learned from the Twitter Files.

    Long live fascist tyranny!!!

Musk didn't buy twitter for profit. He did it to stick it to the left. It looks like it worked being that they just can't stop talking about him. Its nice to hear about someone other than Trump Trump Trump for a change
    Thanks Elon!

He was forced to buy it — after failing to make excuses to exit the sale. He also overpaid by almost a factor of 2 times only to turn around and cause advertisers to flee.

But whatever you need to tell yourself

As others have said before the antidote to speech is more speech. You do not cede the www to the haters nor do you keep them from it. The problem is who gets to determine what constitutes hate and note the real honest truth is always hateful to the lost.

Actually probably not. About the only activity that will get you banned from current Twitter is doxing.
