Releasing everything could be a huge security risk for the capitol. Camera locations, escape routes, etc. . . . it could basically become a playbook for the next terrorist attack. And with Trump running again, the likelihood of another Trump-inspired terrorist attack continues to grow.
Camera locations, law enforcement protocols, escape routes. Knowing how the capitol responds to a terrorist attack, in detail, would be valuable information to anyone planning a subsequent attack. This should not be a confusing concept.
And falsely labeling objective facts as "BS" won't help yours. There's a reason why I am capable of discussing specifics and you refuse. We both know that reason.
It isn't speculation that the footage would reveal camera locations. It isn't speculation that footage would reveal the escape routes used. Your position only makes sense if 1) You don't understand that the footages was taken by said cameras and 2) that the footages shows the lawmakers escaping.
I guess CNN can be trusted with such videos. https://www.cnn.com/2022/10/13/politics/pelosi-jan-6-capitol-riot-video/index.html Did you voice the same concerns then?
Any video provided should be provided to more than one news source, but there's a big difference between providing 1 hour of video and providing 44,000 hours of video. 1 hour of video probably wouldn't provide everything I discussed previously. 44,000 hours of video likely would. A few days ago I had to explain, literally, to a rightwinger on the forum that 2 > 1. Do I now need to explain that 44,000 > 1?
OMFG! Now you want to base your argument on the total hours of video released, ignoring the fact that CNN got exclusive video footage of the inside escape route used. Ya know what. Just enjoy the rest of your day. I'm not going to waste anymore of my time reading BS.
Releasing it period then is an issue - choosing to release information to fox that could be a security risk.... are you really saying you think Republicans did that?
Would you prefer it was released to CNN? https://www.cnn.com/2022/10/13/politics/pelosi-jan-6-capitol-riot-video/index.html That was the democrats go to news source for releasing video to.
That’s not how journalism works. As I pointed out CNN got an exclusive look at video (which obviously democrats gave them) and then other news organizations can pick up on it to perhaps elaborate on it.
that is how government is supposed to work, they are supposed to release it to everyone, not just partisan hacks According to yardmeat, releasing this to fox is a huge security risk, why would Republicans do that?
