The people who buy Jaguars aren't over emotional people who get triggered over the silliest of things.

I don't see anyone triggered over it. It looks to me like they are just making fun of it. This is not a "triggering event". Triggering events is something like when a government agency lets babies rot and die because their daddy had a trump sign on their lawn
    Get a clue

The commercial is the reason I record my favorite programs and then while viewing I can fast forward through the commercials.

Tata Motors, an Indian multinational automotive corporation, is the current owner of Jaguar. Very odd... one does not ordinarily think of India as having a 'woke' culture. It has a rigid caste system instead, which would be the antithesis of anything 'woke'.

My guess is that this marketing campaign is some brain-fart dreamed up by a non-Indian marketing company that thinks will appeal to the "Limousine-Liberals" who can afford these expensive cars. Maybe it will... but, on the whole, Conservative moi would much rather have a Buick Avenir....

Says the guy who's all emotional over a commercial. You guys got all emotional over bud light, nike, NFL, movies and commercials. If getting outraged over these things make you feels better then so be it. Good luck

Can you show me an example of emotional outrage with regard to this commercial? I have not been emotionally triggered since the horrible FEMA thing.
All that snark and you still can't deliver!
    Awesome!

    It's pure projection.

They've been triggered for almost 10 years now every since trump declared he was running the first time.

They know they've been triggered, they know they are triggered, and they know how pathetic they look so any chance they get they project.

Nonsense, Trumpers roll in land boats. You can fill them with a ton of stuff, the tires cost $600 a piece and you need a ladder to get in um..

Marketing cars based on identity isn't new, and has always struck me as a bit cheap and underhanded. Driving an EV doesn't make you a liberal. Driving a pickup truck doesn't make you a conservative.

How does this lose profits (not that the Jaguar side of the business has had much profit to loose for a while).

The OP hasn't explained why the advert is "woke", can you explain how it is "virtue signalling"? I can understand not liking it stylistically (I'm not a huge fan of this kind of thing myself) but I don't see the justification for taking it further than that.

Fair enough. On its own, the commercial is not virtue signaling. (it's cool, I'll own it)
but when coupled with statements like this, one might wonder

"We're on a transformative journey of our own. Driven by a belief in diversity, inclusion, creativity, policy and, most importantly, action. We've established over 15 DEI groups such as Pride, which are here tonight, and Women in Engineering and Neurodiversity Matters," Pietrosanti said.

None of that garbage matters to how well a vehicle performs.

They even took away the hood ornament. But those things got stolen as soon as you parked it anywhere in New York.

Bud Light 2. I guess the U.S. isn't the only place infected by wokeism.
