James Webb Finally Detected Unnatural Activity on One of the Exoplanets. What's Next? Duration: 8:09. Ok, so this is how we will detect life outside of Earth. Forget the James Web telescope. We will study exoplanets with the next space telescope Luvoir. Because, unlike James Web, the Luvoir will be able to study the elements located on the exoplanets and look for techno-signatures. I guess the JWST just wasn't sufficient, and they didn't have the foresight to see this kind of use. I hope this telescope gets built and we find out if we're alone in the universe or not. I think we're not alone, but some of the funding will come from people who do think we're alone, so I worry if people will balk at funding it. I hope not!
