No I am claiming it might be in 2017, depending if all the prophecies are fulfilled. There is nothing wrong in guessing or in telling what the approximate date and time you think Jesus may return etc. If I said to you ;"Gron grab your AR and ALICE and follow me to the bunker the (*)(*)(*)(*) is gonna hit the fan ie Armageddon is at hand in an hour THAT WOULD BE WRONG. If I said " Gron did you see on CNN where China used its dam to dry up the Euphrates and is marching a 200 or 300 million man army across the river bed ? Well you better get right with your maker etc because it wont be long before the end " There would be nothing wrong with that, see the difference?

I said a factual claim. If that was what he lied about well that is not bad enough to discount his material. I am sure all of us have lied even you. But would you be so kind to give me a hyperlink to where he admitted he lied?

Because we are all human. I do not hold someones feet to the fire because of something like that. I am sure you have lied in some capacity, should your credibility be stripped ? No.

No I asked superwoman to show proof of where he made a statement of fact that was not true. I also said Beck is not my favorite commentator. YOU are saying I said this and that because the haters are desperate to somehow discredit me. I enjoy it in a way because I know the haters are following scripture to the T.

You have a lot to learn about logic and life.

A 200 or 300 million man army marching across the Euphrates River bed. Sounds legit. When the million man Ethiopian army invaded Judea they only had 300 chariots with them.

In various churches.. you have , Millenialists and post-millennialialists, Dispensationalists, Preterists, Partial Preterists, plus Historists and then you have the Rapture Ready charlatan crowd like Hal Lindsey... and there are variations on each. I prefer first century history to futuristic gobble de gook.

The Old Testament doesn't teach this. It's self explanatory.
The Old Testament doesn't teach this. If it did the Jews would be believing
    in Jesus.
The Old Testament doesn't teach this. Some were considered righteous, i.e.
Abraham. But works were an essential part of Old Testament life, especially
    the continual sacrifices.
Not really a doctrine as much as a fact.
    True.
The Old Testament doesn't teach this.
    No really a doctrine.

I commend your attempts of trying to make the doctrines of
Christianity to come from the Old Testament.

Which the Old Testament doesn't teach.
    Christianity isn't a religion. It's a relationship.
Not true. Jesus was God and the disciples knew it. Afterall He himself said he
    was God.

You did much better this time but only came up with 2. That's a far, far cry
from saying the Old Testament is a large part of Christian doctrine.

What? My permanent home is here in east TN. My family has owned the same home for over 40 years. This place feels more like home than anywhere else.

Yes but Zerah (the Ethiopian) was defeated by his foe who had only a little over half a million man army. The war occurred in the Valley of Zephath, near Mareshah. Can you imagine the logistics of all that? No internet, telephone, radio, no faxes, or motorized vehicles. How in the world did the leaders keep a hundred million man supplied? I am constantly amazed at the ancient civilization accomplishments. Did you rebel against Christianity because you were forced into it growing up? If that is too personal forget it I am simply curious .

Are you reading the replies? Your bit of bible is correct, however, I had already answered that concern. Basically I am not claiming to know the 'day and hour'. I am saying listen to the teachings of Jesus. Jesus said when you see these things happening (the signs), beware the time is near for my return. For more info keywords; biblical signs, no one knows the hour bible, apocalyptic writings, books bible.

You have to right to prefer and believe what you wish. You don't have the right to insult and to belittle others beliefs which are just as prone to be correct as yours. You and the other usual suspects (to be haters) especially don't have the right to insult belittle etc and not expect retaliation and other bad things to happen. You will find that if you drop the insult your own beliefs and such will be much better received.

I think wayyyyyy too much energy has gone into defending something that has no form, can't be described, has no time line, might or might NOT happen, and has no purpose.

I was being sarcastic. How was Abraham worse than other leaders of history? Do you think him obeying ANYTHING demanded by the creator of the universe is wrong? You mentioned sacrificing his son. Lol if you knew your subject you would know that was a TEST of his faith. Yes I would do the same if God asked it, even offing myself. Why? If God exists there is NO THING that I would refuse to do. Why? Because he created me and everything else. Think about it. No think about a bacteria. We humans are much father down the evolutionarily scale to God that a bacteria is to a human. Of course if God asked me to do something really vile I would have to know without a reasonable doubt God was God. In Abraham's day that wasn't so difficult. Angels flitted about, God talked to his people, and miracles happened on what seems a fairly regular intervals.* Today we are in an era of no miracles. Perhaps soon there will be another era of miracles but it will be near the end of time as we know it. But I digress...

Lets try one more thing to help you understand Abraham better. Name any leader you admire from that same time period and lets compare them with Abe. The problem I have with haters is that they point to a icon that lived three thousand years ago and criticize him using today's sensibilities. I have a gift of being able to visualize what it was like during periods of history. So even though some activities of biblical and non biblical people seem like atrocities they were normal for the time. I hope this helps raise your awareness of how things really were and are.

Some people like thought experiments, theoretical physics, philosophy, astronomy, cosmology, and metaphysics including other areas of science not mentioned. Some don't. Some prefer hard numbers and the solid reality of basic math, and other subjects. I don't like absolutes at all except in religion! Lol. Come to think about it even math is not an absoulte 100% correct in its answers nor is it complete, its remarkably iffy as per Godel.

Then remember many if not all the great thinkers of history or what our civilization defines as the greatest minds all have debated and discussed the very things you and many others, mostly atheists and unbelievers* see as a waste of time. However there is nothing at all wrong with relating your assessment, we need variety without it the world would be a very boring place indeed.

    * I think but cant prove that atheists brains are wired differently than believers. That is not an insult it could be seen as a compliment. It seems again without proof atheists seem to be employed as mathematicians and other fields that call for hard facts. Spiritual people seem to be more artistic and in science tend to be theoretical physicists, of course there are exceptions and the above comments are pure speculation. Well I am not aware of any modern studies that cover that area.

I call those that insult and demean my people, (Christians and to a lesser extent all spiritual people) God, my religion, and my person trolls and haters. Because they are. If you fit the bill you are too. I can understand anger and I can understand hate. I can not understand a member attacking another member or his faith (worse than an personal attack to a christian) for no other reason than their faith. I can not remember any time I began an attack on someone for their faith or anything else save for defending myself or my faith from an unprovoked attack. In other words I never start the crap. My favorite bar room saying to some one that didn't like the way I looked was ; " don't start any sh*t and there will be no sh*t. I still live by that sans the expletives.

About the Rabbi he isnt MY rabbi I am a christian. I thought he made some interesting connections. The haters here have took that and made it seem that I am hanging my hat on everything he said. I dont. Re-read my OT.

So what we have here is a non-existent prophecy that can only be traced back as far as 2008, no document exists to verify it. It has not stopped literally hundreds of articles being written about it on the web with very few of the articles even bothering to attempt to authenticate the source. No doubt in a few months time another article will appear and a few gullible but basically reasonable people will take it at face value and the lie will be propagated.
Even ignoring the end times rubbish this is pretty amazing stuff, if it existed it would have foretold the history of Israel with quite remarkable accuracy. Would not Rabbis around the world be queuing up to translate and verify such a document, would it not be a huge propaganda coup for Israel.
There has never been a better time for a normal person to expose untruths about almost any subject, information is available from all around the world

Sent Jesus out to the gas station to get coins since we didn't have any in the cash drawer at Texas Roadhouse one time. With my car keys. Thankfully he returned.

Heres the post you are responding to,
Here is the Jewish Encyclopedia from 1906 and the entry for your Rabbi, not one mention of "the Jubilee Prophecy" . If the authors had put anything in the Encyclopedia about the coming of the end of Turkish rule in 11 years time that would make me seriously reconsider my whole attitude to prophecy and religion!

Call us haters or trolls or whatever you want, all I would like is to see the truth, which I was told Christianity sought!

You are being presumptious and violating the Scripture that says "No man knoweth the day and hour".

    Fail.

Give you a link where a liar admits he lied? Again, disengenuous. Beck would never admit he lied....he said he claimed that he held the Washington Inaugural in his hand because it was "easier" than explaining the truth to the crowd at the "Restoring HONOR" rally.

BTW, yesterday, Glenn claimed that he had a "neurological illness" over the past few years that "made him seem crazy at times". IOW, he just ATE every nutty thing or LIE that he told and blamed it on an illness.....an illness he also claims is now "cured by God". Convenient, huh?

You give a pass for dishonesty to a person you LIKE for his religious and political views. Thus showing you yourself have no credibility.

I showed you the proof....Beck LIED about holding the Washinigton Inaugural in his hands.....it's not allowed by the National Archives and he was forced to admit it didn't happen.

BTW, Glenn is Mormon.....does he follow the Scripture to a T?

You have a lot to learn about how you look in public and an honest appraisal of how seriously or credible people will take you.

Does any modern Bible college still believe that angels (even if they accept their existance) are "winged beings" who fly around like human hummingbirds???

I always wondered why people thought angels would need wings?? As with most religious stuff, it doesn't make sense....

Culture influence and bias....which shows a lack of even "internal logic". A spiritual being like an angel wouldn't need "wings" to transport itself....but all the art (and other media depictions) show them with wings.

The question is, do Bible Colleges (or supposed Bible experts) actually believe that angels (if they accept their existance) are some kind of "humanoid-avian metaphysical hybrid"...using "celestial" wins to move about the Universe?

Then we can get into the ancient issue of "How LARGE are angels?"...which led to the old saw of "How many can dance on the head of a piin?"
