Russia is currently spending 33% of its budget on the war in Ukraine, which is twice as high as the USSR during the Cold war, and it is entirely unsustainable. It is living on borrowed time especially as it's oil and gas exports collapse. Which is the majority of its actual export earnings.

This is why there are shortages of gasoline in Russia, availability of imports are now restricted to low quality Communist Chinese imports, and it has problems doing even that. It is also why its economy is failing. They are running out of money, the government is raising taxes left and right, and regular people watch their standard of living collapse.

It is not like Russians were ever rich only making $600-$700 per month in the best of times so now they are truly being crushed. All while KIA and WIA rob their country of manpower for even basic jobs and the government doesn't even do basic maintenance on public infrastructure. Russia is beginning to look a lot like Cuba more and more every single year

Geolocated footage published on August 6 and 7 shows that Ukrainian armored vehicles have advanced to positions along the 38K-030 route about 10 kilometers from the international border. The current confirmed extent and location of Ukrainian advances in Kursk Oblast indicate that Ukrainian forces have penetrated at least two Russian defensive lines and a stronghold.
