This is why the federal govt has NO business in promoting, supporting, giving aid, or ANY special treatment to any foreign govt. It is a magnet for corruption, where a bureaucrat doles out TAXPAYER money to bribe some foreign official, or enrich some crony for favors. It is the very essence of govt corruption, & should be immediately ended. But it has been going on for decades, & time seems to dull the outrage of corruption, & make it seem like normal operating procedure.

There is NO constitutional provision for giving money from american taxpayers to foreign govts, or rebels, or anyone. Even humanitarian aid should be left to the individuals.. they can be humanitarian if they want. It should not be forced by the govt. Especially since 'humanitarian' aid is full of corruption & fraud.. we mostly give money from middle class american taxpayers to greedy, rich, corrupt regimes. Why not let the american taxpayer do what he wants with his money, that he has earned, instead of extorting it from him by threats of violence & giving it to some tyrant who is oppressing his people?

I don't think that NATO should have aided the overthrow of Ghaddafi because of what's replaced him.
And it wouldn't surprise me if we started to see similarities between Libya's likely future and Iraq's recent past

On the other hand Ghaddafi really was dangerous in when it came to foreign affairs.

 

Open your eyes and you'll able to quite clearly see whether someone is either black or white.

There's a difference between failed and troubled. A tyrannical government isn't a failed state. Civilians enduring brutalizations isn't a failed state, it's a horrible one, sure, but not failed. That said, I'm still not too sure as to the extent of Ghaddafi's terrible reign. I'd have to actually look into the events of that country rather than relying on the media to define Libya. I get the feeling that before that, most people hardly registered Libya in the mind, and after that, the only thing they know about Libya is Ghaddafi.

It depends, though. At what point where Hebrew's called Jew's if, indeed, there was a direct transition. I was under the impression that the Jewish people of today do not have a direct lineage to anceint Hebrew's, but were ideologial converts.
