California spends... spends... and spends some more. Its deficit has nothing to do with red states. California taxes its people into oblivion. Those taxes are DEDUCTIBLE on FEDERAL INCOME TAX... raising federal income tax RATES due to those deductions which never reach the federal government. So, in actuality, blue states pay more taxes and subsidize red states because of red state deductions. You really think that a state that is seriously considering sending millions of dollars to its black citizens just because they are black needs any help at all running out of money? California has a $30 Billion state budget DEFICIT. Texas has a $30Billion state budget SURPLUS. California spends and spends... freebies for being black... freebies for being an illegal alien, freebies for being homeless and on drugs. California has nobody to blame but itself. And that's why so many folks are LEAVING.

By the way... your figures are dead wrong: California gets 99 cents back from every federal tax dollar. One-third of California's budget is paid by federal dollars.
