Interesting observation. This point you make should be a conundrum for leftists, but they have so far escaped the problem by engaging in a fiction, viz., that there is unity through diversity.

 

Do Israeli settlers residing on the West Bank of the Jordan River improve the lives and well being of Americans? No. They are antithetical to the interests of Palestinians.

Do illegal aliens from Mexico and Central America improve the sense of community in Santa Cruz, California, or do they foster a sense of a separate reality? The illegals are antithetical to everyone here except those looking to exploit labor or to create a new center of power.

 

The illegals shouldn't be here; but I was referring to your comment on limiting unskilled, uneducated immigrants— which is why so many resort to illegal means.

 

Illegal means of entry can be eliminated. That's why Gawd made land mines.

Illegal immigration of impoverished, unskilled and uneducated people has transformed much of California into a third world nation. We have illegal Mexican Indians here who can't even speak Spanish. They speak dialects of Nuhuatl (sp). Assimilation isn't in the cards for these folks. It's separate reality time for them. They have created a new nation.

 

Assimilation shouldn't be a forced, only encouraged.

Illegal immigration of anyone is bed. Immigration of the lower-classes shouldn't be discouraged.

 

Assimilation is now actively discouraged. Multiculturalism is the new meme.

Legal immigration of lower class individuals and families is fine if they have something to offer in the way of skills or education, or are putting themselves into the position of offering something.

There are plenty of illiterate and unskilled Americans. We don't need to import poor illiterates from elsewhere.

 

And there's nothing wrong with multiculturalism; some just exaggerate it to be some monster. Modern treatment of Native Americans, for example, is an example.

That would be a bad example. Koreans were forbidden to learn their language or to even use their own names. That's not good.

 

America does not need more Immigrants who Hate America and it's culture & History ,we have a bad enough time with some our own & their Distaste of their Own country .

Multiculturalism leads to division, separation, exclusion, alienation and estrangement. Assimilation leads to unity, togetherness, understanding and shared identity and consciousness.

Multiculturalism is now so loathed on the Right that it is completely discredited.

Why shouldn't everyone have a chance to come to America? Because life isn't fair. And because they don't have my permission. If they don't have my permission there will be strife and unhappiness if they come.

Twenty years ago my neighborhood was overwhelmingly white. But the neighborhood underwent transition as white people raised their children, grew old, and died.

In my neighborhood we find the good, the bad and the ugly. If they're here legally, they are fine as long as they don't gangbang. If not, it doesn't matter how good or beautiful they are. They're not supposed to be here.

Speaking on behalf of Bitter Clingers everywhere, we aren't interested in compromise. We are now too radicalized to cut a deal. Legal immigration is fine. Illegal immigration will never be accepted.

 

I don't think most non-Asians can. Knowing which last names and features go with which ethnicity comes with experience, I suppose.
