Lakin's crew of handlers led by web page designer Marco Ciavolino have been raising money off Lakin since before he committed his crimes and continue to do so. The new player in the "movie" is Dean Haskins. Haskins is a small time Christian music producer and Birther. He was behind the epic fail known as the Birther Summit 2012 that was supposed to happen in March 2012 but had to be cancelled due to lack of interest. Haskins' other claims to Birther fame included a video of the Georgia ballot challenge hearings before Judge Malihi with terrible audio and trips to Hawaii with Miki Booth to harass the family of Virginia Sunahara. Birthers claim that somehow Barack Obama received Virginia's birth certificate number either through skullduggery or by mistake. When his brother obtained a copy of the birth certificate of course the number was different.

They did. Lakin served 6 months in Levenworth, had his doctors license revoked and was dishonorably booted from the army 18 months before his pension. The idiot had a wife and 2 young kids to support and yet he decided to throw away all that for a brainless conspiracy theory. If anything else, he should be thrown in jail for criminal stupidity.

I seriously doubt he has seen a penny of the money the Birther grifters have made off waving his name around either.

Lakin plead guilty to all charges bar one once he got the advice of a real military lawyer. And even if Obama had for whatever reason had sent over his BC the same thing would have happened. Lakin was guilty of disobeying orders from his superior officers, orders that were legal no matter what the status of Obama was. He was told that several times by military lawyers beforehand but he went ahead and did it anyway.

Also. one of Lakins claims was that anyone could get the long form birth certificate as it was the "real" Hawaiin BC, but on a radio show Lakin's brother admitted that Lakin had tried to get a long form for his daughter and failed. Lakin lived in Hawaii. That means he KNEW what a Hawaiin BC looked like as he had ones, and he KNEW it was impossible to get one barring a special waiver for some reason. And yet he threw away his career AND betrayed the Army of the United States. Not to mention disrespecting his commanding officer, a holder of the Medal of Honor.

 

But, he's not right, and you know that...

 

Let us not forget that Lalkin also endangered the lives of other soldiers- by refusing to deploy, a different doctor- who was not scheduled- or trained to be deployed- was sent in his stead.

I don't know exactly what to think of Lakin- whether he was just a gullible fool or whether he volunteered for this thinking he was going to be a martyr, but he got the justice that he had been warned about repeatedly would happen- and needed to happen for military cohesiveness.

I feel very sorry for his wife and children.

 

Yes, like the man who killed his wife because she was an undetectable lizardman shapeshifter... He's an insane criminal, unless he's right. Shame that he's wrong.
