Refresh my memory. What actions did Twitter take that was demanded from Trump's administration...

I don’t think you’ll get much of a liberal response on this. I honestly think they think this behavior is better than the alternative of freedom of speech and freedom of information. They honestly believe that some things should be censored by someone they believe to know better than the public. Their faith in the public is absolutely zero

Trump used Twitter to send out tweets which we can all do. That's the entire purpose of Twitter. That was Twitter working as intended. And because it worked, and Twitter and the DNC fixed it so he couldn't use it again in the same way.

That's why you saw stupid one sided fact checks all over Trump's tweets.

To be fair, that is not all Trump and his agents did with Twitter.

No, the “twitter files” were designed to create a narrative, and it did exactly what it was supposed to do.

Twitter files 1; “The government is manipulating what you see and don't see on Twitter”….”Both sides were allowed to change the narrative”

Twitter files 2-7; “Here is what the democrats did….”

    Elon buys twitter….

Elon fires a lot of people by sending them an email with a picture of him laughing that says: YOUR FIRED

PR Nightmare starts, and Twitter engagement sinks to all time low

Elon keeps making bad PR moves and twitter engagement then sinks even lower

Elon then engages “reporters” to write a story about how bad twitter really was, and releases a “both sides” story, and waits for the algorithms to tell which side of the story created more engagement. Once the results are back, he then allows only the side that created more engagement to be released in twitter files 2-7…….Engagement comes back somewhat, Elon is a little happier, but stock prices keep sinking.

This is a very simple story. Elon let his ego get the best of him, and he was then FORCED to buy twitter for a price that was way more than it should have been, his hubris then took over thinking that he could do whatever he wanted because, well because he’s Elon Musk. Twitters stock price starts sinking, Elon takes money from his only cash rich business (Tesla) to help prop up the stock price at twitter and it keep sinking, and his use of cash from tesla hurts that company, all in all he looses more than $20Billion in personal wealth.

The Twitter files were nothing but an attempt to save himself from his own hubris. Hell, Stevie Wonder can see whats going on here

JFC, literally everything in your world is some democratic plot. In your world the democrats hold absolute power over only the bad things, but the good things must be Republican lead.

    Have a nice day

Twitter has no stock price. It is now privately held as is Space X.

I dunno why you think that matters? Like the DNC wasn't able to work with twitter without Trump knowing or anything. And it's not like the details are not also after Biden got into office as well.

Please come back with a more logical point. You are embarrassing yourself.

It matters to the left because they have no argument.

These twitter files have been an embarrassment to the left. It confirms what we already knew. So 'but trump was president' is their go to argument.

It is funny though because apparently the president is able to control every single individuals actions and whether or not they meet with twitter execs, etc....but now the president has no control over things like rising gas prices, inflation....basically our entire economy. It's funny how that works.

It is said to pick the lesser of two evils and as it turns out Trump was the lesser. The GOP made lass requests and got less requests granted than the DNC.

    Absolutely did not.

    I stated that the situations aren't comparable....which they're not.

That's not making an excuse for anybody. It's simply stating the obvious....something you might be able to do if you weren't so hyper partisan and were capable of looking at things objectively.

But go ahead and keep arguing that meeting with twitter in hopes of avoiding mass panic is the same as meeting with twitter in hopes of silencing opposing viewpoints.....it's entertaining as hell to see you lefties take this position.

    Hyper partisan huh?
If standing up for Liberty, capitalism, and body autonomy, means that disregarding BS is not looking at stuff objectively, then you may have a point.
The claim was Trump had no idea he had people working with Twitter, so what people did he get to help prevent the spread of mass panic at Twitter?

The claim is also that it was DNC planted agents coercing advertisers to write guidelines that Twitter must have a so called family friendly terms of service, thus limiting speech of its members. These guidelines further leading Trump supporters to believe a comical false narrative that government was stifling free speech through Twitter. A narrative you seem to support with the excuses you give the Trump administration for being caught manipulating Twitter policy through the guise of "preventing a mass panic".

Entertaining indeed to see the physics of the pro Trump narrative play out.

You couldn't even address my point/argument. You mentioned things I never talked about or brought up as an attempt to deflect so....good one.

Bottom line is this, we knew all along what was going on with twitter and how they were basically operating as an arm of the democrat party and now it's been verified and is no longer up for debate.

You can dance all you want, but you can't get around the facts.

My point is still valid and the same, you can't compare the two scenarios that I was discussing. They aren't comparable. You can, at best, argue both sides were wrong, but make no mistake getting twitter to silence opposition is orders of magnitude worse. But again, keep dancing.

:roflol:Both sides? Nah, this was all under the Trump administration.
Once again A narrative you seem to support with the excuses you give the Trump administration for being caught manipulating Twitter policy through the guise of "preventing a mass panic".
