I don't think this story should be buried. We have information that sex crimes from politicians are being concealed from the public with payoffs involving tax payer dollars

True in that sense. So disgusting our elected officials are hiding such behavior. And since the claim was made about Repubs I wonder if Repubs on this forum will demand there be an investigation into the sexual harassment claims.

The more I learn about the government in the USA the more I am convinced it is the opposite of what it claims to be. Land of the free? No. Home of the brave? Not so much. Shiny beacon of Democracy for the world to follow? Not even close.

Somebody should run on a platform of complete transparency and accountability to the public, to get rid of all of these ridiculous things, like this, and presidential pardons needing no explanation, presidents not being subject to the law, etc. That and getting money out of politics. Make that the core of a campaign.

 

I don't think you should hyper fixate on sex crimes. Demand that public money not be used to settle or cover up any crimes no matter what their nature.

All of them should be held to the same high standard. I don't care what the crimes are. If they are actual crimes and public money is being used to settle or cover them up, the public should know about it. They should not be allowed to do it secretly. This shouldn't be exclusive to sex crimes.

 

But why should anyone care if she does lose her mind? Unless of course she really does know about the covering up of crimes. If she does, she should come forward with it regardless.

They should be allowed to be in jail. But, our version of Christianity doesn't see it that way.

So, Trump gets away with it, and then picks multiple members of his prospective cabinet that are ALSO guilty of sex crimes.

Also, the idea of REPUBLICANS chastising Dems seems totally over the top.

If Republicans cared, they would chose those who have NOT been found guilty of sex crimes. I'm pretty sure you agree with this part.

Outcome 1: the ethics report on Gaetz is never released, and Marge agrees to stay quiet about the other ethics reports

Outcome 2: the ethics report on Gaetz is released, and in retaliation Marge does what she can to release the other ethics reports that are being kept hidden from the public

So… what kind of person is hoping for outcome 1?
