The Russian leadership for the last 100 years has been near the level of a Lavrenti Beria, Stalin's old henchman.

The only way to deal with the nation Berias of the world is to make his "descendants" understand that if they get out of line they will be dealt with as was he, only at the national level. Those of you who don't know about Beria's demise should read up on it: a short arm, a long wide board, straps, and a scarf.

Beria had his thugs several times a week after WWII abduct young teen females from the streets of Moscow at night and delivered to him. About a half dozen of their corpses were found buried in his fortress-like home's basement.

Russia is seriously worried about the West's ability to make the country a smoking rubble from the western borders to the Urals.

Russia is really not a concern militarily to the West.

    On which side?

I prefer Trumps help. The other help I could do without.

The number of replies you make to the subject speaks differently to the content of them.

NATO "seriously worried" about Russia's intermediate-range missiles!

I just wonder how this can be viewed as a good thing by anyone let alone something to be proud of. I am sure Russia is "Seriously Worried" about the overwhelming superiority of western military strength at some level but no one brags about it. You little trolls come off as scared bullies trying to intimidate for lunch money.

    LMAO.
I don't think Russia has ever been seriously worried about "the overwhelming superiority of western military strength".

Self delusion I'm afraid. A conceit.

What Russia doesn't have in its war chest is stupidity, but the west has a surfeit of that, and some!

The US after Trump will aid Europe and block Russian aggressive imperialism.

America will always smile at silly statements of just how strong Russia is really, and all of the bad guys who hate Russia should watch out.

Russia is well aware that militarily that the US and the West are much stronger than Russia.

It's just a show of force, a threat for the west is a composite of many powerful allies and one of the best ways to show parity or even superiority effectively and squarely is to build bigger bombs. Such as gesture that Russia is also under pressure with the present geopolitical climate.

I served in the military (airborne infantry) for many years and always stayed up with the latest on our combat capabilities and those of traditional foes.

As long as Russia keeps stumbling in the combat arms, there is no worry.

Now I do recognize that Russia is almost a top level IT threat to the world.

Quick ... don't give the Russian Bear a good reason to do such things by implemting an Anti-Missile shield in Eastern Europe, tell the BS of "it is against Iran and Norh Korea" when it is in reality against Russia to attack their nuclear capabilities!

OK ... but you know that this all ... and I have here widely another opinion and point of view on it ... has nothing to do with the intermediate missile dispute here?

All right, this will be a "be careful what you wish for" moment. I mean hell the USA does not have much to worry about in that world. It is nice having two large oceans and a giant fleet between us and those yahoos. Not to mention the natural resources of north and South America that can be used and protected.

That's true. The best option is to be defenseless and give them all your money.

He's not defenceless, he has 96 tanks and 4 Eurofighters.

So Europeans are rightfully annoyed with the US for escalating the nuclear arms race in Europe against them, but ultimately 100% reliant on the US for all their defence vs Russia anyway.
To whit they aren't part of this equation.

No ... the best option is to just negotiate and not pointlessly provoke others!
Since 1987, there have been no Russian intermediate range missiles more than threatened, ask you why they are now (supposedly) back ....

You do not know? Because you Americans build up Missile Defense Systems in Eastern Europe and provoke Russia ... for no reason!
And the best part is the lie that it is primarily against bad Iranian and North Korean missiles ... who believes that believes in flying elephants!

I believe the west is provoking Russia to force it to enter into an arms race, and by having to do that it will bankrupt Russia.

This has already been done ... with the help of Saudi Arabia, the international oil price in the late 1980s was so depressed that the biggest foreign exchange taking USSR melted melted like ice in the fire!

Since the Russians ran out of money ... but this does not really work today and only causes annoyance and annoyance ... because "Your Majesty Donal Trump I of America" in all its stupidity with almost any dispute begins, including before All those who stood at the time like Western Europe on the side of the USA or passively shrugged like China!
