I was making a point that the .223 is a .22 caliber not comparing the .22LR with the .223

Jack Reacher isn't real. There's a reason why modern armies don't use bolt action rifles (except for snipers where one round is the standard).

They do get political. I won’t pretend this one is not. I was just giving the invite. You can find good deals on forums too. Most gun forums have a deals thread that members post deals on ammo. You don’t have to participate but just keeping in touch on those is worth it.

I really want a bullpup shotgun, and some are reasonably priced now. But I have a few shotguns and I'd rather spend on 308 launchers... better range.

If it's too loud you should probably wear earplugs. I shoot a 30-06 it's louder than a 223. I wear both ear plugs and ear muffs when I fire it because I have more sensitive hearing.

I recommend that if it's too loud.

That's a good caliber and a good firearm they are quite accurate with enough patience you can almost stack bullets with out ff
More brass more powder, more lead

Only if you are an idiot. And experienced marksman can operate the bolt and still keep the stock in their shoulder.

You’ve got a very nice rifle. Good choice. But if you fire two rounds per minute, your $9.50 box of ammo will be gone in 10 minutes of shooting.

That box of ammo costs 47.5 cents per round.

That’s why I thought you should keep the 22 for casual plinking. You can shoot the 22 a lot for a lot less. You could get 500 rounds of 22 LR for $41 which is 8.3 cents per round. You could shoot as much as you want as often as you wanted without it costing you a fortune.

I have a 22 pistol (Ruger Mark I) and an ATI 22 rifle...just for practice. Bought lots of ammo back in the days when 100 rounds was about $8.

I’ve got Ruger Mark IV with a suppressor and Holosun red dot. Fun gun! There’s also a 10-22 in my safe. My wife is not a gun person. I sent her to a two-day safety and range shooting course. So her gun is a Ruger LCR 22. It’s perfect for her for home defense when I’m not around. Not big firepower but a whole lot better than nothing.

My wife is a Marine brat and an Air Force vet. Soon after we got married we went to a gun show. We hadn't gotten inside the gate before she turned to me and told me to double the amount we had budgeted to spend. I decided right then and there she was a "keeper".
