What the hell is going on here? Confidentiality for the demolition crew??? http://news.yahoo.com/confidentiality-required-sandy-hook-school-demolition-crews-183504644.html
It is a complete waste of money, but I assume they just don't want photos of dried blood, bullet damage, and the like out there to protect families (which makes no sense if they let families into the building). I am sure the conspiracy theorists will have a field day with it nonetheless.
Something incredibly shady? The people in the community voted by about a 3 to 1 margin to tear it down.
Columbine was torn down too don't ya know. Torn down, blocked off from the public, and the contractors doing the job.... wait.
The ONLY thing "shady" is some people's real or pretend naivete about interest and profits from massacres like this. There is a huge market for horror mementos and artifacts. A bit of a school desk or book fragment with some 7 yo's embedded blood and hair or skin would bring a huge price. A kid's lunch box from this massacre shredded by automatic weapons fire would make some gun and violence freaks cream their jeans. Photographs and descriptions would bring nice offers from gore websites all across the world.
Didn't read the link (please next time add the parts you feel are important from the link) but it sounds like a waste. I know people develop attachments and all but there is no reason to raze the entire building. If they were able to fund the reconstruction voluntarily I wouldn't have much to say other than I'm glad I'm not sending my kid (I have not but if I did) there. Were I to have a kid and that was their school I would just send them back unless they couldn't handle it. I would obviously talk with them and explain how that kind of (*)(*)(*)(*) doesn't happen twice, but if they couldn't get it and they still felt scared, I'd gladly send them to another school for their benefit.
So now the dummies have to finish paying for the old school as well as the new one. What will they do if there's a massacre in the new one, tear it down and then pay for three? At that rate the fools could end up on the hook for a dozen.
There are "genuine souvenirs" from the Twin Towers debris being sold on National TV and you can't see the attraction this would have for some sickos? MOD EDIT>>>FLAME BAIT REMOVED<<<
The building in which the shooting occurred will always be a memento of horror and sorrow. They want it gone. Suits me just fine. Tearing it down will also prevent its becoming some sort of magnet for conspiritards looking for proof that it was a staged event. Think, too, of the effect on a generation or two of children who must, every day, walk in a place where something so horrible happened. I hardly think it the sort of environment in which a child can concentrate on learning.
Demolishing a school won't erase memories, nor will it prevent the guaranteed future mass killings in a 'society' which still obsessively worships guns, and seemingly cannot survive without their pathetic touchstone of 'freedom'. Still I guess the dead children are a small price to pay in the percentage game of 'freedom'.
What a lovely sentiment towards a community that had their children massacred. Meanwhile- I don't see how their decision is anyone's business but their own MOD EDIT>>>OFF TOPIC REMOVED<<<
There is an entire museum in D.C. dedicated to presenting the artifacts of the deaths of MILLIONS. MOD EDIT>>>PA REMOVED<<<
One one think if i was obsessed with guns i would own atleast one... Wouldnt you think? Or are you just going to keep up with the childish insult fest? Care to address my post? Which rights upset you?
The right to bear arms upsets me, and the rest of your post is a strawman-nobody except you mentioned any other rights. There, happy now? - - - Updated - - - A Redcoat? Boy but you Americans really do have difficulty dealing with the 21st century, don't you? Never mind, keep clinging to your guns and bibles while the rest of the world moves on...
So now that i made you look foolish whats next? Oh and btw you mention freedom.. rights are obviously part of that.. Pretty simple logic. And yes i am usually happy are you not? Now why does the right to bear arms upset you so much? Here lay down on this coach and tell us why it hurts ~
Sorry, but the people of Newtown are not picking up the tab. It is being paid for by a grant from the state.
There's one giant hole in the Sandy Hook story. No EMS going into the building to attempt to save children's lives. After the building was secured and the shooter found dead; no EMS personnel went through to find victims that might still be alive and need medical attention. Someone explain that one.
Only the government should be allowed weapons right. Despite the fact that the GREAT majority of murder in the history of the world sits directly at the doorstep of your precious governments.
No need for Gun Grabbers ever to explain anything. Guns are evile and only an evile government should have them.
