Predictably, red states are saying more of a surge, now. That's what you get when you minimize the problem and undermine containment measures. Inevitably a surge in death toll will follow.

and No...it is no surprise that the red states are surging again. The reason is obvious. They follow the reckless attitude of Trump. He scoffs at masks. They go too. He blames everyone but himself for mismanaging this pandemic. They do too. He is playing the role of macho man bully........and the like that.. They believe that 'god" will look after them. Well, that is fine to a point. What about those that they infect along the way?? They say that if they get it and die.....it is their time. What about hose they infect that don't believe as they do?? What happened to responsible behavior?? We only see defiance , resistance, and recklessness. .....All of which mimic Trump.

In terms of percentage, Vermont showed the largest increase among states in new confirmed COVID-19 cases. It recorded 83 new positive tests this past week, a hike of 93 percent from the previous week.

Washington, D.C., recorded 465 new cases, a jump of 73 percent.

Tennessee was next with an increase of 64 percent to 13,507 new cases.

Right behind was Montana, which showed an increase of 61 percent with 4,067 new cases.

There are concerns about the continued increase of cases in the middle of the country.

Reuters noted that every Midwest state except for Missouri and Illinois showed increases.

I don't know anyone who has knowingly had the WuFlu. But then I don't have access to many people's medical histories.

 

The red states are hoping that it goes away on November 4. That's what they've been saying will happen, since April. Fingers crossed the virus understands the United States' election cycle.

 

Shoot the messenger. There is no surge. It's just because of testing. Tests are a Democratic ploy to make Trump look bad. This just a little flu. Nobody gets hurt. The deaths are inflated. Everybody who dies of a car crash is counted as a WuFlu death, which is totally false because the WuFlu is a nasty man-made virus that China sent us but actually it doesn't kill anybody (uh, that seems a bit contradictory but it must be true since Breitbart said it). Masks are useless. Macho men like Trump get over it fast with all the wonderful treatments that are so widely available to all of us (paid for by our taxes that he refuses to pay himself, but that's OK, I forgive him, and would forgive him if he shot someone dead on 5th avenue by daylight). By the way, wait, it's a Democratic hoax. The virus doesn't exist. It's made up by George Soros and Bill Gates as a world domination plot, helped by all the pedophiles that operate out of the basement of that pizza parlor.

I don't know what the wuflu is, but I do know several who have had COVID. One has had it twice. In my circle of friends, one has had two family members die.

And in my hospital, five staff members died, two doctors, two nurses, and one respiratory therapist. Twenty-seven others caught it but fortunately, survived. All with Covid-19 caused by the SARS-CoV-2. Last I checked in my Virology textbooks and Infectious Diseases textbooks and up-to-date scientific journals, there isn't a disease called the WuFlu.

If ever we needed to rely on science and facts.......it is now. Yet we get conspirator noise , fairy tales, spin that can bee dizzying. Berating the CDC is totally destructive / counterproductive.

And NO we are NOT "rounding the turn". That is a bold faced lie. and fails to "reassure"........if it is meant to do so.

We are in serous times , and we need to be pragmatic about it. We all, have to behave responsibly in order to mitigate it. This is not a time for my side vs your side. The Pandemic has no sides. Nor does it choose sides.

 

Pretty sure that the point is that cases, or this "surge" is happening all across the board. Red or blue, doesn't matter. The OP made it sound, implied if you prefer, as if only red states were surging, or at least surging more than blue states. That is incorrect. Indeed the highest reported "surge" are in blue states. If we went by how you portrayed things in the OP that shouldn't be the case. That red states should have higher surges. But that isn't the case is it? I mean if you really want to make this a political red v blue propagandized thread then you're really failing at representing your side of the aisle.

 

Oh the irony and hypocrisy is just dripping in this post. And such a hate filled post ta boot. Tell me, how many people were infected by BLM protests? Riots that Dem politicians let happen (and still are)?
