And that is my accusation. I think Trump called them up and told them to stand down. Whoever got that call isn't saying because they're afraid to. It is a terrible article, in that it, several times talks about Capitol police receiving "stand down," orders, but NEVER specifies from whom. What is your reason for believing it was, "Democrat political leaders," who made the police stand down? How about you post that quote?

The report by the internal investigator that says the capitol police were told to stand down. Supposed to be very damning if you believe the NYT. But all stories link back to the NYT pay wall as far as I can tell.

 

If one is interested in deciding who would be responsible for such an act, if secret behind the scene shenanigans were occurring, one need only look at who benefits.

OBVIOUSLY, no real insurrection was going to occur. Unarmed misfits in costumes armed with phones and flags were NOT taking over or controlling anyone or anything. If we can agree on the reality of the event we can continue, because if you think those people could accomplish anything you’re fracking nuttier than they were.

So agreeing that this whole charade was just that, a show with no logical ability to take over the capital we can also agree it makes Trump look really REALLY bad. And it did. The MSM also by tying 10s of millions of people to actions of the relative few who would benefit? DEMOCRATS!!! Now who would benefit from Trump looking really really bad? DEMOCRATS!!! So who would have motivation to help pull off such a stunt and make it easier for those goofballs to take selfies in Pelosi chair? DEMOCRATS!!!

Trump wanted them to do exactly what he told them to do. Peacefully March and make a stink in front of the capital. Now what did DEMOCRATS want them to do? Create violence. So why on earth would Republicans or Trump want that event to turn out the way it did? They didn’t. They wanted a peaceful protest, because anything other than that would be used by the opposition to win an election.

 

If only these Trump worshiping folks had not been so foolish as to fall for this cleverly devised plan by the Dems to get them to invade the Capital Building and stop the certification process. Says a lot about them to let themselves be used in such a way

 

With the amount of firearms reportedly in possession by those people, if they really wanted to create a problem and not just storm the capitol building and leave, they could have done so and no one could have stopped them in time.

So if it was what your side is claiming it was... why didn’t they?
