I'm looking for recommendations for books on oligopoly. I'd preferably like one with a behavioural game-theoretic approach but that's porbably asking for too much. Any help is appreciated because I can't differentiate between them on Amazon.
Or perhaps a good book on monopsony and labour markets? I notice: [ame="http://www.amazon.co.uk/Monopsony-Motion-Imperfect-Competition-Markets/dp/0691123284/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1314570669&sr=8-1"]Monopsony in Motion[/ame] but I was looking for something more like a text-book. Anyone any advice? *cough* Reiver in particular *cough*
Never bother with textbooks. They're an excuse for rigidity. Would recommend Manning though. For a good introduction see here
Cheers Reiver. That paper was very helpful. If it isn't too much trouble, could you perhaps suggest a good journal?
That's a difficult question. The top journals, such as American Economic Review, are often as palatable as dish water. I'd use a search engine such as www.sciencedirect.com and, if I didn't have access to the journal, then search for a working paper version of the article
