    I think we already know.

Since the useful idiots appear to be oblivious, we can only assume they're absorbing The Ways of The KJ-U by some kind of osmosis.

But only one side has the power of the media and bankers/billionaires behind them.

That is untrue. There is plenty of money going to both teams. Way, way, way too much money if you ask me.

    Besides the point.

And that always made me laugh, to be honest. How the party with the wealthiest financial backers whines for the "little people".

I have actually done work on Barbra Streisand's old canyon home. Multiple mansions, homes, and "guest houses", all of which were larger than any home that I ever owned. I always found it puzzling that they could scream and rant at CEOs and scream they are making more than they deserve and should be heavily taxed. Yet say nothing at people like Babs and other celebrities that are far more wealthy.

The problem is, they have tried to reign that in many times over the decades. We had both Shays-Meehan and McCain-Feingold. But each time it has been tried, the Supreme Court decided that it was in violation of the First Amendment.

The DoD definition of "extremism" is wide enough to drive a bus through.

Is believing in Qanon extremist? It may be nutty, but so are nearly all conspiracy theories. Does that make them dangerous or violent?

How about believing the election of 2020 was "stolen?" Is that an opinion that could have a service member branded extremist, even if the only action he takes in support of it is in the ballot box? How about the election of 2016?

My point, in the previous comment, is that the institutions that will parsing these types of specific characteristics to determine what particular action constitutes extremism are all on one side. There isn't another side in terms of our institutions, so "extremists on both sides" is a phrase that may have real world meaning, but institutionally, the ones who will bear the brunt of any charge of "extremism" are only on one side.

Well it might be undated a bit for the 21st Century like, ""Unless we each conform, unless we obey orders, unless we follow our leaders blindly, there is no possible way we can keep our Democracy™."

There is a difference between believing nutty conspiracy theories, and belonging to a group that actively tries to act upon nutty conspiracy theories.

A decade or so back, somebody thinks that a former President was not born in the US, fine. So what?

But if they then join a movement that encourages people in the military to refuse to follow any orders they give because they are not President, then that is belonging to an extremist group.

And notice, it is the groups that the are looking at. Otherwise, that is nothing but thought control, and that is not the intent.

OK I guess we'll see, but I suspect I know how this will turn out.

Great episode. Wasn't that when Trapper left while Hawkeye was in Tokyo or something.... It's been a while.

I think the episode I quoted was when they were teaching the Korean kids English and Frank made a comment and Hawkeye motioned to them and they said: You tell 'em ferret face...

My favorites were the early episodes with Trapper and Henry Blake. :)

Sometimes when we were sitting in the Ready Room back in my Navy days, waiting on briefings, debriefing, killing tme, paperwork, whatever...... we did MASH trivia because a lot of us where big fans of the show.

Some were easy, where is Hawkeye from? BJ Honeycuts wifes' name?

but some were pretty hard unless you were really a die hard. I stumped my fellow aviators on this one: Name of the mystery book that had the final chapter lost and the mystery was never solved.

Not gonna google, lol. It’s something about a bird? The ending was revealed, though.

I don't think the ending was ever revealed. They were in surgery and I think it was Col. Potter or BJ that said something like "it can't be so-so because the ship wasn't there and he was on the ship"...

    Something like that.

To answer your question: Technically a bird is in the title of the book.

    I give up, lol.

It’s nice to be nice to the nice.

The Blake years were far superior In terms of raw, physical comedy. It changed when Margaret got married, but I loved it all. The grocery store an hour before the finale was insane.
