It's way early in the season, but so far I think Georgia and Texas have earned the top two spots in the AP Top 25. I haven't had an opportunity to watch Ohio State yet, so my jury is still out on the Buckeyes....

Playoff bracket: Bold predictions, anyone? I'm not seeing a real dominant team here - they all can be beat. The undefeated Ducks deserve to be the favorite but they beat Ohio State by only 1 point at home and should have lost to Boise State, which is my dark horse in the playoff. The Broncos (12-1) have the leading rusher in the country in Ashton Jeanty (344 carries, 2497 yards, 192 YPG, 29 TDS), and he's 132 yards from breaking The Immortal Barry Sanders' single season single-season record of 2628 yards (in 11 games). To be fair to Barry, he averaged 239 YPG when he set that record in 1988, so he remains the greatest in that respect.
