As for glorifying wars, it's the silly policies of the Left and isolationists that lead to big wars, so these lame attempts at faking having some higher moral authority n stuff are really just laughable rubbish.

And I think most of those that are most highly bigoted on "The Left" would be shocked that most in the military are actually against war. After all, we are the ones that fight in and are most likely to die in them. SO if there is to be one, we simply want it over as quickly as possible so we can return to peace.

And to get my real opinion on conflict, one simply needs to read the signature I have at the bottom of every one of my posts.

I have always been a fan of shutting down these regional cat fights before they turn into big ones; it keeps the body counts way down or zero in many more cases than not. Appeasement and isolationism does exactly the opposite, and there is thousands of years of history proving it.

 

And if there is to be a war, make it as hard, fast and brutal as possible. Storm in, kick arse and leave bodies, make it an object lesson to others to not do the same thing.

I really am a pacifist, but also have learned that sometimes people just need to get spanked. And better to do it early, before they can do even more carnage later. Violence should always be a last resort, but when it must be used get it over with as quickly as possible.

Just look at OBL. That jackarse had been causing deaths since at least 1993, and other than occasionally firing a few cruise missiles at him the US pretty much did nothing. And that emboldened him, and allowed him to gather even more followers. Until a decade later when he finally pushed us enough that we had to go to war with him, it was a bloodbath. Being more firm early on would have saved a hell of a lot of lives, and never allowed him to gain as many followers. The same with ISIS. Early on, they largely ignored it. It's just a small local threat, no need to worry. The next thing we know, we pull out of Iraq and they take over more than half the damned country. Killing well over half a million people, mostly civilians.

 

Well, we was a bit of a creep. Snide, abrasive, and rather rude many times.

However, in the end he was also a mole of the good guys that because of that was able to place himself deep in the enemy camp.

 

I remember when European countries were harboring Arab terrorist mass murderers, and sniveling about Mossads' hunter/killer teams hunting the scum down and taking them out. They forced the Israelis to stop, and Germany ended up with a whole new wave of terrorist acts that were killing more Europeans than Jews. Now the morons are doing the same with sniveling over the Hamas and Hezbollah vermin. . The feckless Italians even cut a secret deal with Arafat promising the scum protection in return for not killing Italians.

Thankfully Netanyahu doesn't care about Biden's whining and stayed on target. The U.S. needs to step up and run the same type of operation.
