My answer to you is going to be borderline breaking the rules. So, my disclaimer is this:

What I'm about to say is not being done to disparage, question nor insult the moderators on this site. I'm keeping my personal opinions to myself.

I just came back after a six month ban with the threat of being banned in the future for engaging people like yourself. The last run in was when a poster began calling me stupid, ignorant, and beating his chest about what he proved and how scared I was to take him on (the same way you're doing.) And so, I told the poster he was "acting stupid." Whether you like it or not - and even if you have an opinion about the rules, that is the interpretation.

That being the case, when someone wants to open with an insult toward me, my natural reaction is to reply in the same manner. In that case, you would lose any debate you're contemplating getting into with me. So, telling you no does not mean I don't have a myriad of facts at my disposal... Hell, you haven't even considered the material I've left links to. Looking at a link is like judging a book by its cover. What all of it means is that I'm not allowed to return fire and it's difficult to have a fair fight when your hands are tied behind your back.

So, next time you engage me, you have to do so respectfully OR I don't play ball. And if you don't like it, you have two choices: PM me (I can meet you on a level playing field other than on the threads here) or you can complain to the moderators about their application of the rules.

If you think I have thin skin, come up short on factual information, or have an ounce of fear in me, you got the wrong dude. I'm simply going along to get along. I didn't write the rules; my orders were to simply abide by the moderators interpretation of them. It's their board so I'm doing what is necessary to avoid conflict and respect their calls on these discussions.

Why would I treat you with any more respect than you have earned by your posting - which so far in none.

I don't have a problem with you, I just can't work out why you are going to such lengths to avoid discussing your own ideas. Why put ideas online if you won't discuss them? Why get so worked up simply because someone else wants to discuss something you yourself said?

The real issue is, the points I wanted to make have been made. By and large, homogeneous societies are much more productive and much more at peace than those consisting of warring groups whether those differences are predicated on race, religion, ideology, or some other difference that each side thinks is worth dying over.

When a member of my family does something great, I feel proud to be a part of the family. If they so something embarrassing, I feel ashamed... and rightly so since those who know me will judge me (to some extent) by what a family member does. This principle then holds true for race, religion, etc. While stereotypes may not be totally accurate, sometimes there are truisms - you know it, I know it, and so does everyone that gets into this discussion. Sometimes the stereotype has some basis in fact - but, it is never the whole picture.

 

The US has far more per capita firearm ownership than Puerto Rico and Brazil. Is firearms ownership also why their diverse areas are slums?

The issue of selective enforcement of the law, a significant matter conveniently overlooked or disregarded by many on the far right, has been pointed out many times here. In your post you mentioned black/brown diversity as having an impact on crime stats. Since you feel that crime stats have some significance, it follows logically that anyone can alter the subject matter to include crime stats overlooked by people such as yourself. On that basis, my post is every bit as relevant as yours.
