Is it that you understanding of punctuation is deficient....or are you simply searching for a way out?
I see....so rather than see the quotation marks as a question you prefer to see them as a debunk. I suppose that is certainly one interpretation, just not the one most people would choose.
It doesn't have to be. Would you agree that one with 20/20 vision is superior (in vision) to someone with 15/20 vision?
I believe in God.. But... if the earth is only 15,000 years old like some Theologians say, then why can we see the light from stars/galaxies that are billions of light years away?
That's because the Earth is 4.5 BILLION years old and the Universe is over 13.4 BILLION years old. There are ROCKS in your yard that are over 100 Million years old!! LOL!! AA
That would suggest that the universe (the heavens) were created long before Earth and man and that's not what Genesis says. It says that God created the heavens AND the Earth on the first day. - - - Updated - - - This is my point. The earth cannot possibly be such a young age. The theologians are wrong
Why do you vilify science??? When you do that it's the same if you said.....THAT DAMN MATH IS ANTI-GOD!! LOL!! It just makes you look silly when you attempt to vilify what is a METHOD OF LOGICAL DETERMINATION!!! Would you attempt to discredit the equation (AxB)/(A+B)...? Would you make fun of the calculation of Pi being a ratio of the Circumference of a circle being 3.14...etc it's Diameter? Would you protest a person stating that when the number of Degrees of any Triangle are added up they will equal a total of 180 Degrees? Well....when you make fun of Science THAT is how silly you sound. AA
No. It simply means God put the distant light at the earth at the time God created the light. I mean, if he created all this, he can place those things where he wanted.
Is One day to God = to 2 billion years? Genesis says that the evening and the morning were the first day, that implies a 24 hour period??
Of course they are wrong. The GOOD NEWS is some Religious Leaders have been smart enough to tell their faithful that there is no conflict between Faith and Science. Pope John Paul II was the first religious leader to do this as the Pope told Catholics that Evolution was a reality and he discussed the highly likely possibility that there was other life and intelligent life in the Universe besides us. AA
This is what most theologians say but that would mean that physics as we know it did not apply. I suppose God could alter physics if he wanted? - - - Updated - - - Great post! I did not know this..
Thing is never in human history has there ever been a demonstration or existing proof of this. IF a GOD exists and that is a BIG IF...it uses Quantum and Biological Evolution. AA
Pope John Paul II was VERY PROGRESSIVE as far as Scientific Discovery and the day after he talked about Evolution being a fact the Roman Press has a headline...."POPE SAY'S WE COME FROM MONKEYS!" The next day the Pope told the press..."No...Human's are APES!" Which is a fact as we are actually GREAT APES along with Chimps, Gorillas, Bonobos and Orangutans. AA
I understand that but as far as no proof, you can't prove love either. - - - Updated - - - Very interesting conversation... You guys are cool. Gotta go. Hope to chat more about this.
That's what it means. And literal christians believe that. Not all christians. According to most christians, God is omniscient, omnipotent, omnipresent. There is nothing God could not and can not do. Now some will come along and ask if God can make a rock so large that God couldn't lift, or something to that effect.
