I did answer the question, and then I asked you what you thought and that's when you went all "shilling for Putin" because you didn't have an answer. Go ahead, try to answer the question, or has Putin got your tongue?

...Putin has absolutely no intention of negotiating anything.....why would he?? You think he's getting squeamish or something....you think he's worried about all those people that are dying for his crusade...like f**k he cares about them...he'll keep going until he has what he wants which is the old Russian Empire.

So I guess you want him to get his Russian Empire, since you don't want him to stop the war. Sounds like your on Putin's payroll. How much is he paying you to keep the war going so he can keep expanding his conquests?

War, and don’t back down or they will continue to widdle away as time goes on. If someone told me I can live as long as I give them my left arm I would try to kick them in their nuts no matter how big they are. You don’t bend the knee to bullies and that’s not the American spirit we should portray

If the Russians were able to capture Kiev right off the bat, they could force a negotiated peace on pretty much whatever terms they want.

I highly doubt Russia would've opted for annexing the permanent insurgency of trying to occupy the half of Ukraine that's hated Russians since WW2.

...that's pretty much the issue....they weren't...thus the f**kfest they're wallowing in now....day 844 of the 3 day special military operation...

why not....what do you think their phrase "denazification" means? Hint...it's nothing to do with blokes who have twitchy left arms and wear jackboots....

:D.....yeah that would be it....but seriously, you really aren't that stupid are you? Well, maybe you are...I mean you've been churning out the "please stop and just let Putin win" posts for ages now so I suppose thought isn't your strong point. Look son it's obvious you really don't know what's happening in Russia and Ukraine...simply parroting the inane ramblings of the likes of MTG others of her ilk and of things about this conflict you patently know nothing about is pretty sad. So, maybe its better if you just toddle off and do some reading about Putin and his background and the siloviki and Ukraine and all the things which go on outside of your widdle bedroom....:pc:.....and really......don't bother replying.....

War huh? You want the US to go to war with Russia over Ukraine?

As I've asked a million times, that has nothing to do with US national interest. I don't believe it's in the US interest to roam the world looking for bullies to slay. There are plenty of bullies in the world, far more than we have the resources to stand up to; particularly when they are not bullies to us.

Don't bother replying? But you wrote such a well reasoned treatise on NATO's interest in engaging in war with a nuclear power! I'm sure this will be studied at Sandhurst and West Point for generations!

Tell me, you have to know that eventually this war will end right? And when it does, the failure to negotiate when Ukraine actually had an advantage (mid-2022) means that the longer the war goes on, the more likely the ceasefire terms are going to be in Russia's favor. So what will you have accomplished then?

I’m obviously talking about being in ukraines shoes and as far as us… I say we enter it at a supervisory level. Maybe even create a no fly zone. I do think we should play a larger part than we are at the moment.

The pro war faction was very enthusiastic about a no fly zone in early 2022. At least until they realized that would lead pretty directly to war with Russia, then that talk kind of died down. So I'm surprised to see that notion rear it's ugly head again. So the question has to be asked, are you willing to commit the United States (and presumably NATO with it's rather minor contribution of military assets) into war with Russia? Is this issue that important?

The second question you should ask is, what is the military strategy for Ukraine winning the war, and pushing the Russkies back to the pre-war boundaries? I don't see how to do it without of course direct entry of the US into the war. And I've not heard of any strategy being proposed, so how do you win the war?

you asked why they would try to blitz into areas they don't want to control ...it seems you already knew the answer

I suspect it means protecting ethnic Russians from these folks:
    Commentary: Ukraine’s neo-Nazi problem | Reuters

The question is whether you think Russia is intent on protecting all of Ukraine from them, or just the ethnic Russian separatists in the east who are predominantly the target of the neo-nazi's ire.

Yes it’s that important. Politically holding back is what gets us outcomes like Afghanistan, and Vietnam

Just so long as you know what you're getting (war) when you pull the lever for Biden this fall.

I hope you get a chance to volunteer.

not really....it's basically the concept of installing a pro-Putin regime. The inital military thrust in February 2022 included the GRU teams in Kyiv tasked to assasinate Kelenskyy and eliminate the Ukrainian leadership and then install a pro-Kremlin government - that's what they actually mean by de-nazification. Having people in power loyal to and under the control of the Kremlin. All the nazi and Azov bolloks was just narratives for the to social media trolls to feed on.

....the Kremlin doesn't actually give a toss about Russians living in Russia let alone Ukrainians in Ukraine who say they are ethnic Russians....they really don't give a crap about these people they just want the empire...and if there are some buildings and people left then hey...it's a bonus not a requirement.

Yes I know the propaganda narrative being regurgitated by the mouthpieces of our neocons and our arms manufacturers. You can spare me that BS. I sourced a link from before the war began (and before the propaganda war began)...that I notice you disliked enough to purposefully omit from your reply.

I'm not getting the impression that you're actually interested in any discourse here. I can get everything you're saying by instead watching the corporate news. Which I don't, because I don't like being treated like a moron, like someone who doesnt remember what was happening just a few years ago before there was a profitable war to sell.

Putin has not offered any semblance of negotiations he issued what for all practical purposes an ultimatum.

As I said already Putin issued what amounts to an ultimatum not an offer. Putin’s quip about a cease fire is nothing more than a cynical attempt to provide Russia an opportunity to strengthen its forces. A cease fire is not an end to war but only a pause.
