"Russian President Vladimir Putin has been paying hundreds of thousands of dollars to trolls, hackers and paid protesters to sow dissent and quell anti-Russian sentiment in foreign countries, according to a trove of leaked emails from Kremlin-linked figures.
The emails were released by the hacker group the Ukrainian Cyber Alliance, which was responsible for the so-called Surkov leaks, over a gigabyte of hacked emails allegedly taken from Putin’s close political adviser and senior Kremlin official Vladislav Surkov in 2016..."

So...Russian strongman and maximum leader for life, Vlad the Invader, gets caught paying trolls to do their dirty work for Russia. The irony of course is that Russia gets to feel the ping of hacking now as well!

"The Kremlin was prepared to pay between $100 and $300 for email hacking. But trolling political opponents on social media and collecting personal data on individuals thought to be Kremlin opponents was valued at around $130,500, according to the emails. Plans were also outlined to promote historical and philosophical ideas in line with the Kremlin’s worldview, and to send trained athletes to agitate at rallies and bribe the media to cover the events. The Kremlin was willing to pay $19,200 for a month of rallies with 100 participants and three organizers."

Putin can afford to pay for the trolls...after all, he's got millions squirreled-away for himself in foreign banks!

Yeah...there are indeed several of them here...I assume all Olgino professionals with mischief on their minds. The most important thing, however, is that we know who they are and we can ignore their propaganda!

Oh my gosh, the very credible mafias in Kiev have released E - mails incriminating Vladimir Putin of spending money Russia isn't supposed to have, to quell anti russian sentiment. Wow! How evil can he get?

    Hee, hee, hee!

Yes I read about the rent-a-crowd for protests, to be honest I think they use them in other countries too, just not on the same scale. Well it's Russia's money he's spending, he's their leader he gets to say whether they invest in infrastructure and education or rent-a-crowds

personally I'd be really angry if it was my government, clearly Russians don't care

I don't know if it's a case of the Russian people not caring or if they are simply unable to affect any change!

both, the Russian trolls are creating the impression it's ok with the Russian people when it's really not, they are captives of Putin's dictatorship.

In difference to many western countries Russians can elect their president free and directly among many other candidates.
In Germany for example Merkel is hated by all, but became chancellor again because Germans are not allowed to elect their rulers directly

In Nordrine Westfalen alone were stolen 500,000 votes, no police investigations.

    Just google

So if Russians are happy living under a 'dictatorship' ( :wall: ), and from what I've seen they certainly seem to be, then WTF difference does it make to you?

    1 dollar = 60 rubles. 300 rubles = 5 dollars. But in reality pay 1 post - 60 thousand rubles. (1 thousand dollars)
