How do you feel Trump's performance has been in this crisis?

Has he done a good job? A bad job?

    please explain your vote.

In my view, he gets a big fat D.

    why?

he was right to close the border to China...but..

he resisted closing the border to the UK even though they had hundreds of infected.

he resisted using the Defense Production Act to force companies to produce masks, gowns, face shields.

he resisted establishing strong guidelines that would have prevented for example, the idiot colleges kids from hanging out on the Florida beaches and bars during Spring Break.

he has still FAILED to use the Defense Production Act to take over and expand manufacturing of Covid-19 tests, till this day governors are in a bidding war to get them.

he continued to downplay the seriousness of the illness through February and early March.

..and thats why he gets a D.

Not a total and complete failure, as he has smart people working behind him to clean up the mess, but he still had done quite poorly.

If you look to the government to tell you how to avoid a virus, you get an F. I don't understand how the same people calling him a liar are waiting for him to tell them what to do.

Put it perfectly, in my opinion, but as anything less than 60% is failing I mark him with an F.

    Both fair points.

In this age of information a person dosen't need to sit in front of a t.v. or radio, waiting for government instruction, or instruction from a handful of networks. There's more than enough info available online for anyone to make an informed decision.

To the second point; yes... if one thinks that Trump and this administration are complete liars and morons, they should just protect themselves until they feel it's safe to get back to life. They know what's best, right?

    I don't like him, but a C-.

I think the point boils down to whether or not we can trust him now. He easily fails prepping the country for the disease. That much is a fact. There's no reason for him to not have been prepping when documents show he knew late January, but failed to act until March. Now he's here, and can he unite the country under the banner of survival? Not for everyone but for his base he is doing some good. However judging by the posts here on PF, I would say it's only a tacit approval. The push to oust Dr.Fauci is a sign Trump just wants a strong economy, and not to save people's lives. No offense but pretty hard to consider working when hospitals are overrun with the dying, and there aren't enough beds for everyone. Time will tell, but I'm being generous with my grade..

He gets a 'B' for getting the necessary information out there and helping governors coordinate responses . . . oh and for dealing with the DNC loyalist propagandists and terror mongers of the leftist loyal mainstream media. I'd give the man an 'A' except that I am being humble for him. I feel that he needs some work in that area. He just doesn't know how to do humble worth a damn.

If you give him anything short of an A you've not been paying attention. The task force thanked him repeatedly for his leadership. Governors like Newsom and Cuomo thanked him for his support. Doctors like Dr. Peter Navarro are fully behind him. The only thing wrong is the media.

On the other hand, no one needs those in power downplaying the seriousness of the virus and contradicting the advice of their own experts.

That there is damn funny.. I hear some other famous Doctors are behind Trump

    Doolittle
    John
    Strange
    No

On topic, I give Trump an 'I', since I pay zero attention to anything he does, until others report it as newsworthy...

The USA is nationally leaderless.... Thank goodness for solid governors, who are showing their value...

I give him an F- He got every question wrong and chance alone would have given him a 50. You have to try to fail this badly. He spelled his name wrong on the test paper.

Seriously, the governors who thanked him did so under veiled threats of his neglecting their States in further supplies.

If anyone dares disagree with Trump in the slightest about anything they are rather quickly out of a job or worse. At this point there are natural toadies and there are some people with long standing careers of devoted service to the American people who think they have an obligation to save us all from this madman as they can best do from the inside. No one else is left.

Trumpers seem unable to understand that you don't just grab a poisonous snake by its tail.

I really worry about folks who give him both an F and an A.

An F, means they refuse to acknowledge even the smallest things Trump did right, like shutting down travel to China and Europe. that was a good call.

An A, means they refuse to acknowledge even the smallest things Trump did wrong, like dragging his feet with the Defense Production Act and STILL not using it to make more tests even today.

    too many partisan extremists here

Well a guy who does real estate deals is clearly the most qualified to make medical decisions, according to trumpers.

    Logic from the twilight zone.

While Trump may not be great with words. he has emerged as the voice of reason. The opposition, on the other hand, only makes him look good by comparison.

I'm not partisan. I just despise trump and everyone who supports him. ;)

Truth is, I was more a righty than a lefty until trump turned it into the party of Hitler.

His job on this? Pfffft. F- He trivialized this for two months and surely killed a lot of people as a result. When you start killing people through negligence and denial, the game is over. And trump has likely killed thousands. Unfortunately he didn't just kill his followers. They likely exposed other people who were being careful and not listening to the orange idiot.

I gave him an A to see your reaction. Don't worry about me, I know how to avoid a virus and don't need Trump to say/do anything. I worry about those who wait for the government to solve their problems. Katrina is a good example.

You are supporting him by despising your own countrymen simply because of different beliefs. He knows how to exploit division and that makes you useful to him.

    BTW, he didn't kill anyone.

    Covid19 is not Trumps fault.
    Ebola was not Obama's fault
    SARS was not Bush's fault
and most herpes cases were not Clinton's fault!

if we followed Trump's instincts on this issue, we would have 50,000 dead today and 2 million infected.

his instinct was to ignore, ignore, ignore.
