Problem is Trump has done it correctly. It is the democrats that are being the obstructionists here

Remember it was Fauci that said there was no Danger when Trump did the travel ban to China

And if we followed the oppositions, we would be eating MREs in bunkers. Lets agree to mark this page and meet back here when this is over. We will know who was closest.

I laugh at posts like this, bottom line you and all the smart scientist were predicting one month ago 20-30 million in America and 2 million in deaths. They predicted hospital failures, lack of ventilators, mass graves yet here we are the curve going downward, and 600,000 cases and 26k in deaths. If that's not an A I don't know what is. It took a team effort lead by Trump and his team and the dems know it which is why they're back to attack attack attack.

yeap got to rush those 40,000 that NY needs oh wait we they really only needed 8,000, shocker. He did enact the DPA by the way and has 100,000 in route that now won't be needed and he'll sell to the states since they are woefully underprepared.

You realise the prediction of 2 million dead was based on Imperial College models if social distancing was not put in place?
The same social distancing which Trump resisted for almost 2 months because he was more interested in saving the economy.

lol he resisted yet put it out, you guys never stop with making stuff up.
3 weeks ago after the Whitehouse guidelines were in place

    20-30 mil infected Actual 600k
    2 mil deaths Actual 26k

You guys realize this is amazing, which is exactly why we see posts like your saying Trump resisted social distancing when it's been pounded in our heads by Trump and his team. Are you saying we should've shut down or put out guidelines before we had a single case since you proclaim he resisted for months????

I’ll stick to good old math. You know MATH something Leftists love:)

The most important stat, our deaths/millions is better than most prominent countries in EU. We don’t have UHC. So, If Trump did terrible then they all did abysmal. Is that worse than terrible?

By any measure we’ve done quite well.

He gets a 90 (A-). Some things could have gone faster. But probably just one in ten past presidents would have done better than Trump overall.

F, but I had to grade Trump on a curve, so C. He hasn't done much worse than the leaders in Europe. We're doing much better than UK, for example.

Trump's narcissism is obvious to all, but for all his bluster, Dr.'s Fouchi and Birx are still setting policy, as it should be. And the stimulus was suitably YUGE, as it should be. Had some actual fiscal conservative been in office, we would have passed some piddling little bailout. Instead, we got a $2 trillion monstrosity that will actually do some good. Trump's carnival barker "go big or go home" mindset actually came in handy. It will come in handy again when we have to bailout states and cities.

What was Nancy Pelosi's and Cuomo's advice to the nation? Go and mingle and have fun and ignore Trump and the advice of his experts . . . but somehow Trump is to blame? Interesting. What about Biden? Trying to restrict flight is RACIST! Yep they sure made Trump look . . . well . . . made him look good in comparison.

You are a couple of weeks behind Europe in the spread of the disease and are less densely populated so would expect a slower spread. I wouldn't count your chickens yet.
NY has about a 6th of the population of the UK yet a similar body count, is that a fair measure for comparison?

Nooooooo . . . our Trump despising leftists do not remember that. Probably it's because Rachel Maddow of MSNBC didn't see fit to tell them.

The doctors’ role is not to set policy. They need to advise our elected officials on what would be best from a medical perspective. Then it’s up to the elected officials to use that advice wisely.

A president’s responsibility goes beyond just what makes medical sense regarding the virus. He/she has to look at what’s in the best interest of the U.S. long term.

The doctors would implement a complete shut down of eighteen months to kill the virus. That would ruin the nation. It would take decades to recover. Elected officials need to have the final say on how and when we reopen and get back to normal.

It was a good call, as far as it could go, which was practically nowhere. The disease had been here for at least several weeks when it was first put on and what good was it to put on a travel ban when the disease was already here? Viruses replicate by the trillions in hours wherever they are, it's not like they go home to check on the relatives.

OTOH Trump's refusal to use the DPA to make more "real" N95 type PPE and, much more importantly, more testing kits, is still a very crucial and inexplicable failing. Is he waiting to give the My Pillow Man a billion dollar contract or what?

I contend that when someone's mental problems make him kill thousands then if we let him continue to do so he's not the crazy one, we are

The measure of your nation's performance is counted in cases of COVID, and deaths from COVID.

This thing hit the First World at the same time, and every First World country started with just one. Look at the differences today, 6 weeks later. Those differences are 50% leadership, and 50% citizen compliance. Unfortunately, America has failed on both. As has the UK, and Italy, and Spain, and Sweden, etc.

Yes, that is a notable paradox. Same was happening here. Progressives hate our leader, but couldn't wait for him to tell them what to do.

What good will the nation being prosperous do if most of us are dead? And what makes you think it will be prosperous then anyway? I said before that I doubt very much that most of us will be willing to step over a corpse to get into Starbuck's though it seems obvious to me we have found one here whom it wouldn't bother at all.

Who the **** ARE you people anyway? You remind me of Curtis LeMay and his 'Better Dead than Red' bull ****, with the dead being all of humanity. If you think it will help the stock market that much to have the bars open again I know of one group I will quite willingly sacrifice in that noble cause, and it isn't me or my other elderly associates.

I notice it was those who simply couldn't be bothered prepping for lock down, who ran with the "I'll wait til Govt tells me what to do". They had the same information as those of us who prepared, but chose denial instead. Denial was less work, apparently.

Trump didn't tell me what I should do, he made it next to impossible for me to do it.
