    Cabernet AND merlot. My go to reds. Really enjoy dry red wine.....to much actually. I save it for company and night outs.

    I've never been much of a wine aficionado, although in my misspent youth I guzzled MORE than my fair share of the two "award winners" previously noted.....Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Shiraz I find more to my taste now. As I noted in the "white" thread I made a batch of mead (which I have NEVER tasted before in my life) out of curiosity and find I like it considerably....having once homebrewed beer and ales I'm looking forward to playing around with different recipes for honey wine....grape wines are WAAAAY too complicated for me. ;)

    Yes, grape wines are not easily made - it is a real art. :)
