https://www.gbnews.com/news/univers...tle-removed-nottingham-decolonises-curriculum Ahahaha... Amazing idiots. Anglo-Saxons are being “abolished”. Another English university, this time Nottingham University, has taken up “decolonization of the curriculum”. It has dropped the study of “Anglo-Saxons” as a separate ethnic group from the history course. Cambridge has recently followed the same path. The very mention of “Anglo-Saxons” is now seen as a manifestation of intolerance and xenophobia. British history, on the other hand, will be rewritten to fit their ideal of “multiculturalism”, with an emphasis on racial minorities. Even if it has nothing to do with real history. History - following political science and sociology - is becoming another victim of rampant political idiots. (You're the ones who voted for these lunatics.) It even goes so far as to require archaeologists not to determine the race and gender of skeletons found. This would contradict the approach of how the past was “multiracial”, gender diverse and “intersectional”. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/ar...er-categorise-race-woke-activists-demand.html In general, it is necessary to adjust history to the popular agenda. And if the facts contradict this, the worse for the facts. At the same time, religion is also being overhauled, with the Church of England introducing “gender-neutral prayers” and replacing the “Our Father” with something more politically correct and “inclusive” for transgender people. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/ar...Stephen-Cottrell-says-Father-problematic.html All in all, a crisis for all English education, with 40% of universities in acute financial trouble. Cash-strapped universities could go bust before new students graduate https://inews.co.uk/news/cash-strap...EC0gTiWoxJjFM1cU3U3Pa4hqz93rlXmxQd4QuJ1noys9h All of this is a consequence of your political choices. You are the ones who voted for your governments. I hope you have some idea how this is going to end.
Hitler making use of Norse characters, could they mean the swastika, the symbol that has been used by cultures all over the world for at least 10,000 years?
Remember Winston Smith? He was the main character in Orwell's 1984, and his job was to 'edit' history to the benefit of the elitists. George had no idea how well he would hit the nail on the head.
I haven't really used the term Anglo Saxon at all in my life and can't see it being used outside of picking a tribe in the Age of Empire game. Or, watching a TV series on the ancient history of England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
Baewolf was written in Anglo Saxon or Old English and it's the basis of the modern English language as this video shows, some of the words are much the same.
As a celt iM deeply offended by the term Anglo Saxon. They are our sworn eternal enemy. Let that sink in...
Ohhhh... You're studying history from a TV series. I suspected that, but it's good of you to point it out. Now it's clear how I should feel about your comments.
Enemies must be fought. And it seems to me that the term “Anglo-Saxons” will not let you, as a Celt, forget about it. However, we We are so often like our enemies that we might as well be buried in a mass grave.
And true. To quote one of Jeff Foxworthy's sketches. "If you see a house where the grass is three feet tall, with a dog chained to the clothesline and a motor swinging from a tree, buddy that's a house where a gun lives! And if you want to find out what kind it is, just crawl through the window after dark."
